Lovely spot

This was a great location and house perfect for our family of four. Only weird things were that it was clear no one cleaned under the beds in sometime, and having a human mop of a 4-yr old and 2-yr old showed that; there were some dry bed sheets in the washer and we had no idea why; otherwise everything was great!

Ace time at the A Frame
We loved our time walking the 2 minute jaunt to the beach from this very clean, sweet little house. I appreciate the well stocked kitchenware (including seasoned cast iron which is rare), the lineoleum floors so my dust allergies were not affected by carpeting, and the location. So useful to have an onsite washing machine and dryer, a heat bulb in the bathroom to support drying out, and recycling/compost in the town. The bed (downstairs, we didn't use the upstairs) was also comfortable! One minor area to improve is to put screens on the windows. I'm guessing that's difficult to keep in good repair in a rental or there have been other priorities over that, which makes sense.

Great beach house! We have been coming for years to yachats and this house was perfect we really enjoyed our stay. Would love it if the the other bedroom upstairs had a a regular bed. Trully a gem of a house.

Wonderful Kite House

Super convenient location for walking along the coast or walking into town to get supplies and fun. The house is cozy and inviting. When windows were closed, the window and heater dust and musty smell did activate allergies. Bring your own knives for sharp knives. Burner elements twisted and not level. Restful sleep with ocean waves. All in all it was a lovely stay and we hope to return some day!

The Kite
House was clean and ready to go. Location was great and rental office was prompt in answering questions. Only complaint is only 2 rolls of toilet paper for 5 people for 5 days, one garbage bag, one tiny bottle of body wash in a generic bottle with body wash written in sharpie. Supplies were a bit lacking. Seems like an easy thing to supply for the price of a rental and cleaning deposit. That being said I would stay there again.

Nice Little Place with Great Location

This uniquely built home is in a great location! Fits 4 comfortably (2 adults/2 kids). Everything was in good working condition & clean. Not much for views but a quick 2 - 5 min walk to the beach/trail was super convenient. Very quiet area. The "master bedroom" on first floor could be updated as the 2 upstairs rooms were great!

Our stay was quite satisfactory. The only real problem was the TV remote which continued to behave in an erratic manner even after the property manager solve one of the problems with it.

Best Place Ever!

This home was clean and pleasant, it was big enough for 4 guests, but could accommodate 6 comfortably. It is down a quiet lane that ends 200 feet off the ocean. The kitchen and bathroom have everything you need, including a dishwasher and w/d for clothing. We can't wait to come back next year!

Our stay at The Kite

We stayed at The Kite over the New Year weekend. The home was clean although it's a bit dated and shabby. One of the room heaters was not working but Peter, from Ocean Odyssey, promptly brought a space heater. The kitchen is fairly well-stocked although some of the shelves were very high and difficult to reach. We discovered shortly before leaving that firewood is not provided. Then when we got to The Kite, we found sign saying that we should only use Presto logs. We called around but couldn't find a local source for Presto logs. I would've liked this info to be clearly posted on the listing so that we could've brought the Presto logs along. The location of the house is excellent. It's a very short walk to the bluff overlooking the ocean. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

After years away I finally got to go to the Kite for a couple nights. My gal friend loved it too. Simple and relaxing, most meals cooked there and easy cleanup. Perfect proximity to the rocky surf.

Always enjoy staying at the Kite
I've stayed at the Kite several times and always had a great time. The Kite is always clean, good supply of pots and pans, plenty of towels, etc. A short walk down the street and you're on the ocean, a longer walk you're in center of the town of Yachats. Beds are comfortable, and the living room is great for just relaxing. Plenty of windows let the daylight in.

Decent house just off ocean

We enjoyed the Kite house and it had pretty much everything we needed. It could use screens on windows to allow more air flow and and a dresser in upstairs bedroom.

Anniversary vacay
Nice place. Did not seem like an aframe inside. Very clean and comfy. Windows could have been cleaned. The view is not as shown and can only be seen from upstairs bedroom where there is only futon and twin to sleep. We slept upstairs in very cozy bed across from view room. The picture in ad shows a nice view, but houses have been added. The yard really needs somesprucing up, not very inviting.
The short walk to the coastal trail was very nice for easy walking and access with a beautiful sunsets. Pretty busy as there are some hotels right there.
We still enjoyed Yachats especially the Drift Inn. Not really in walking distance except pizza place unless you enjoy walking on 101.
The weather was beautiful. The cabin was warm when we got there which was a plus since that day was cold. Except for the few things mentioned above, we really did enjoy the cabin.

Cosy, comfortable

I was pleasantly surprised by this accommodation. It was tidy and convenient, just a short distance from the beach. It is located north of downtown Yachats in a small cluster of houses. Inside is private. 3 rooms, 1 bathroom. I would rent it again.

It was a great place!
We had a wonderful trip and the home was in a great location!! It was clean, but I wouldn’t say sparkling clean. For the price it was great! The furniture is a little out dated, but the two beds were very comfy. The futons in the 3rd bedroom were not so comfy so an actual bed in there would be perfect, but all and all can’t complain. We decided to make this an annual trip and would definitely stay here again. However, the neighbors on the east side near where you park made sexual comments to me as I was packing the car on the last day. I am a single mom with two kids and what he was saying was not okay and made me very uncomfortable!!! Up until that point the kids and I wanted to book this house again, however will probably not book this particular property. This is the longest review I have ever left, but felt like I needed to say something. If you are a single female, I wanted to give you a heads up. Other than that, it was the best trip and a nice place to stay. 🙂

Yachets Aframe goodness

stayed 2 nights, great location steps from 804 trail and big beach. very comfortable cabin-we were 2 couples. kitchen stocked and beds comfy. appreciated that basic staples and paper products and cleaning supplies provided. Great TVo-was able to pull up soccer games via google chrome long in. I would rent again. Lacked a bbq which would have been nice. Clean and small town a plus in this time of covid.

The Kite is a charming house, and great location on the 804 trail. The house is cozy and has a great kitchen. I like to cook and prefer not to eat out, so having a full kitchen is important to me. The house was clean and everything works! It is lovely to hear the ocean at night with the window open.

The Kite in Yachats

Very warm, homey feel. Nice for 3 travelers to each have their own bedroom separate from the living room and kitchen. Yachats is a dream spot with just enough variety to please multiple interests and to dine several days without repeating the menus.

My go-to place in Yachats
I've found the Kite to be really comfortable, the kitchen in particular very well equipped. Location is great ...a short walk to groceries and places to eat. And a shorter walk to the ocean.
The only thing that's a little odd is the size of the shower stall ...very small. Works OK for me as I'm not a big person. Might be an issue for some.
All in all, a great place to be and stay close to everything in and around Yachats. Also a great base for exploring the central coast.

Amazing relaxing birthday

The A-frame was great for us. We were able to do laundry and walk to the beach. The cable TV never could be accessed but we were able to watch some of the nice selection of movies. Good cooking facilities, dishes, linens, etc. All together very enjoyable.

A "Beat the Heat" Getaway

This was our third visit to The Kite and we continue to be enchanted. It is always clean, comfortable, and quiet. We enjoyed meals at the Underground Pub & Grub, Luna Sea, and had a romantic anniversary celebration dinner at The Adobe! Never disappointed.

Too Wonderful to Describe!

This was perhaps the fifth time a group of us have stayed at The Kite. The kitchen is well-equipped, living area is comfortable as are the bedrooms. The Kite is well-cared-for and suits our needs perfectly. Lovely new paint in the kitchen! So close to the fantastic beach in Yachats, too. We hope to return many times!!!

A-Frame
I certainly did not expect The Kite to be such a cute little place! The pictures do not do it justice. The next time I am looking for a place to stay on the coast, I will definitely consider renting this house again.
The only downfall was that when I was trying to sleep in the bedroom upstairs, I could hear the conversations of my other guests in the living room below me.
