This lovely one bedroom, one bath cottage sits within easy walking distance of the Historic Bayfront, and is perfect for a romantic weekend or quiet getaway at the beautiful Oregon Coast!
This adorable cottage sits on the owner's larger property, but has been very thoughtfully designed and furnished to provide a wonderfully private getaway. The lower level has a nicely-appointed kitchen (all the usual appliances, except a counter top toaster oven instead of a traditional full oven), a bedroom with a comfortable queen bed, and a full bath.
The upper loft-style level has a sitting area, writing desk, and queen sleeper sofa, making this cottage ideal for a small family or two couples. There are even two outdoor areas - one ground-level patio and one upstairs balcony - so you can enjoy the fresh coastal air and a peek-a-boo view of Yaquina Bay.
Parking Notes: Off street parking only is permitted in this neighborhood.
Water Access: Beach access is at Don Davis Park or Agate Beach park

Adequate Rental

This cottage was adequate. It's an older home, so it lacked some newer amenities. The shower curtain was moldy so I had to call and have them bring a new one - which they did - but this shouldn't have been an issue. The outside is definitely in need of a paint job. It was a close walk to Bay Blvd which was nice, but included a steep hill which was fine going down, but up was a bit rough. Although we managed fine.

Funky & Cool Cottage
We had a fantastic stay at this cottage. The views from the second floor deck are beautiful. The bed was comfortable and there was lots of room for the 4 of us. My girls loved their space on the 2nd floor and loved transporting their belongs on the dumbwaiter. We enjoyed the outdoor space and beautiful landscaping in the back of the cottage and spent time soaking up the sunshine and watching the hummingbirds zoom around.
The only thing I would add is a comfy chair or two on the main level. We had a nice get away and hope to return again soon. Thank you for sharing your cottage with us!

Went to Newport to escape the heat and smoke in NE Oregon once again and it worked.

I have stayed at the cottage previously and think it is a great place to stay. I really enjoy the location. Overall it was comfortable and enjoyable. Just a couple of things that need attention.
Couldn't get the DVD player to work, downstairs plug in heater didn't work, shower curtain had some mold and there was no dishwasher soap.

Very Special Home
We recently stayed in this home while visiting my brother. The home is spacious and welcoming. The downstairs has a large bedroom, beautiful bathroom, and full kitchen/dining area. The upstairs is also spacious and includes a large deck with a fantastic view of the water. The room is perfect for game night or just watching tv and hanging out with friends. Every contact I had with the rental agency was friendly and helpful.

Adorable Home!
My family and I have stayed in this home a couple of times now. It's perfect for our little family of 3. The location is excellent and the neighborhood is quiet and the people we have talked to have all been friendly. A suggestion would be to update the comforter on the bed - it's the same as it was 5 years ago and it's begging to be retired. The walls and cobwebs could use a little extra cleaning attention, but other than that, we love this home!

Cozy and Well-Appointed

Our stay at the Cottage truly felt like we were family guests. Our small family was very entertained, we slept well, and the kitchen was spotless. The numerous games all had ALL their pieces, the stairs were safe, the neighborhood was quiet (except for the sea lions sometimes!), and there were even art supplies for the kids-which were great on very rainy days. The kitchen had everything for cooking from home- and plenty of dishes. There were guides for everything from renting boats, to clamming to finding tidepools from the dear host- and even extra copies of maps and tourist attractions which really enhanced our stay. We would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you!

It was an amazing house and view of Yacquina Bay in Newport, OR. Communication, accommodation, and departure were very easy with this location. Nice upstairs with a deck that we were able to set up a telescope. Beautiful kitchen and eating area and was close proximity to downtown. Recommend it to anyone!
