A little piece of heaven
A wonderful location for a chill getaway. Beach access is so close and views from the home are unmatched. The home is older and could use some TLC but overall a lovely property.

This is a lovely location. The ocean view and access to the beach are amazing and easy. The house was clean, the kitchen was stocked for cooking and the house is well maintained.

We've stayed at this property several times and really enjoy the location, cleanliness, and overall comfort of this home. We hope they continue to offer it as a rental!
The cleaning company does a really nice job of having the home very clean and tidy upon arrival, and towels/tp/hand soap/detergents were stocked comfortably. I'd recommend that travelers bring shampoo/conditioner, and anything you need to cook. There are a few spices and random dry items (some tea bags), but for the most part, plan on bringing everything you need for cooking--s&p, oil, coffee & tea, etc.

Great view
House was in a perfect spot. The view was awesome. House in decent shape and was pretty clean. Disappointed the fireplace did not work but know service and parts are difficult right now. Kitchen very well stocked. Only other difficulty was having 5 remote controls... Confusing for us seniors...

A lovely getaway!
We had a wonderful time at this great little place. Beautiful views and an easy walk to the beach. The house had everything we needed after a quick stop at the grocery store. Highly recommend for a chill getaway.

Mom and I had a wonderful and relaxing visit to the Starr Creek! It was a lovely, fully equipped house with awesome view! My only complaint was that the carpets needed to be cleaned. I am sure it was from dogs that have stayed there. Having a dog myself I understand and I was thankful they accepted dogs. But the many stains were a turn off.

Comfortable home with a Great View.

We stayed for two nights the first week of February. We have been hunkered down avoiding Covid and had not stayed overnight anywhere for a year. This felt safe. We didn’t need to see anyone to check in or out.
The house is very comfortable and well equipped with a fabulous view. Access to the beach is right out the front door. (Go during low tide as there isn’t much beach to walk on at high tide ).
The only difficulty we had was in operating the gas fireplace. It’s a little tricky, but we finally mastered it.
We will definitely stay here again.

Long weekend at the beach
What a wonderful view this house has. It was just the right size for us and our son and family who lives in OR. We all loved being able to see the ocean and listen to the sound of the breakers as they rolled in.

Great Time at the Beach
You can't beat the location of this beach house! Just steps to a wonderful long beach. My dog loves coming here and running on the beach. The sunsets are beautiful and you don't have to leave the back deck to enjoy them.

We stayed there for 2 weeks. Location was great. It was advertised to have cable TV. It did, but the only stations available or the basic local broadcast stations. No ESPN or Goff channels. Ocean Odyssey did a great job at solving some minor issues. We would stay there again

6 days at Starr Creek

My wife and I had a wonderful 6 day stay at the Starr Creek home in Yachats, OR. The weather threw a curve ball the first day with wind, rain and cold. So we spent the first morning cocooned in the living room, sipping freshly brewed hot coffee and watching gray whales spout a half mile off the beach. Doesn't get any better than that. The rest of the week was beautiful and the home was roomy, comfortable and extremely well equipped for our stay.

Wonderful stay! This is the second time we've stayed at this location and multiple times we've booked with Ocean Odyssey. Ocean Odyssey does a wonderful job communicating, booking, and overall, the staff are very professional and helpful. We've been very happy with their service!
This house in particular is a great fit for our family of four, and this last visit we had my mother-in-law stay and she was very comfortable on the main level room with the bathroom right there. The house is bright, homey, comfortable, and that upper bedroom ocean view is stunning! Good beach access, and right at the end of the Yachats trail, which I love. 2 miles from town, a perfect jog/walk.
And Yachats itself---our favorite beach town by far! Enough small amenities, a nice little IGA, friendly folks, not too crowded, and right next to Cape Perpetua area with loads of coastal forest trails. A jewel of a place to stay!

Would not have been happier in a hotel. This house was way beyond what we expected. The ocean right out side your door was awesome. The only complaint was that with a house for 8 people, need another couch in the living room. They house had EVERYTHING we needed, just like home. They even had some extras hidden in the cabinets to start us out.. Salt,pepper, sugar, coffee... It was one of the best vacations we have had in Oregon. Glad to see they got new pictures of the house up, the old pics did not do it justice... Stay here, and I just bet, you'll talk about it for years to come. Thanks for sharing your home with us.. I didn't thing the creek would be that interesting, but the creek next to the house is really an added bonus, and Watching the tides change the creek path was way cool. But The sunsets where breathtaking. We found 2 bouys just by watching them come in with the surf from the front window!! The house itself has some issues, the TV in the living room doesn't work. But there is a tv in the other room downstairs( if you really need one) . The house reminds me of someone's home.( very lived in)with a few flaws. But very comfy. We really liked this place. I didn't want to leave. Thank you so much for opening up your families home to us.
We are glad you enjoyed your stay. The TV in the living room unfortunately was not able to be hooked up before your stay. It is scheduled with the cable company.

We did enjoy our stay, the weather was beautiful and the beach was great. We enjoyed the house. Our only complaints would include that by "ocean front" we didn't expect that we would also be looking into the back of a large house; which limited to ocean view; and there was very limited tv, so my husband couldn't watch the football games he wanted to see. But we adjusted and had a very good time.

Private heaven in Yachats

Yachats is perfect for top-notch eateries - Ona, Adobe (have their clam chowder), perfect for exploring the beach (directly in front of the house or at Smelt 1/2 mile away which you can walk to on 804 trail - incredible beaches & rock formations to explore along the trail) and several other parks and sites in this area as well.
The house is open and well-stocked with necessities with full ocean views (to die for) and wonderful decks. All it lacks in perfection is a hot tub but we all loved it so much it still is our favourite place on the coast. During our stay, there was NO WIND, not a cloud in the sky and temp was in the 70s. It couldn't have been better! Thank you!
