Starfish House is a comfortable house near the beach in Yachats. Located in the city of Yachats, just walking distance from down town shops, restaurants, and the Adobe Resort. There is room for the entire family with plenty of games for those rainy days. Garage is converted to a game room with ping pong, darts, and a foosball table. High speed internet access is available. Outside you will find a beautifully gardened yard with a hammock for relaxing, a charcoal BBQ and lawn furniture.

Lovely home like setting, with calming colors

My family and I felt at home, and welcomed, this was our third stay at this property. The colors, open living and dining space, and well equipped kitchen, made our stay relaxing and the location was perfect for a walk to to town, or the lounge at the Adobe Resort nearby.

Amazing back yard, cleanliness issues...
We enjoyed our stay the house. The back yard fire pit and hot tub was the highlight for us. Ample parking and easy to find. The kitchen was well organized and the living room comfortable(albeit a very dirty and stained couch). We would prefer it to have been a bit cleaner, but the washing machine and dryer made it possible to clean the dirty comforters on the beds (they smelled very bad on arrival) and we put clean bed sheets over the couches. We had to buy our own detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, which we did not find out until the check in information was provided the day before arriving. The kitchen had a hodge podge of leftovers from previous guests(spices, foil, ziplocs), which was helpful. There's a dollar store around the corner so it was easy to find small essentials when needed. There's also a key to the house instead of a numbered keypad, which meant carrying the keys and worrying about losing them. It's the first time in a long time we've stayed somewhere requiring a physical key to enter a rental house. The managing company was friendly, but not particularly responsive. We had a bunch of ants visit in the kitchen the second to last night of our stay. There's a long list of to-do's before checking out. One that stood out was requiring us to launder & DRY all the towels PRIOR to checking out. That was a new one for us...

This house meets our needs well, including a hot tub, play space for the kids, a dining table big enough for all of us and a good kitchen. Walkable to town and the beach.

Always a great stay at Starfish!

I have now stayed at Starfish House four times and will to stay again and again! The house is always cozy, clean, and well organized with plenty of storage/shelf/surface space to spread out during your stay. If you have not stayed in the town of Yachats, you will love it - it truly is the Gem of the Oregon Coast! And Starfish House is in the perfect location - a quick one minute drive into town for coffee or to Smelt Sands State Recreation Site to park the car and walk along the historic 804 trail, and most conveniently a quick walk down to the end of the street puts you on the same oceanfront path at the main resorts for beautiful sunset views.

Nice home
This is a nice, comfy, homey place. We were a bit thrown to discover that you must walk thru one bedroom to get to the master bedroom. We also found some dishes were put away but had not been cleaned, floors needed cleaning, and my daughter pulled her sheets off to wash due to dog hair. It is a nice quiet neighborhood with great access to 801 trail.

3rd year I've been there. I do miss not having a garbage disposal; otherwise, kitchen is very nice. A little trouble with ants in the kitchen and laundry room, but manager provided ant traps and that seemed to help.

Great time with family and friends

This cute cottage is in a great location to enjoy the charms of Yachats. We walked to town, to the market, the 804, to the beach...As others report,the home, hot tub and pretty, private yard is impeccably clean and very well maintained. One thing to note - to get from the main living area to the lovely, light and spacious primary bedroom, you must go through another bedroom, or use an exterior passage. Kitchen is extremely well equipped, with plenty of tableware and lots of unexpected extras. Overall, it was a very good rental - we were comfortable and had a great time! As usual, Ocean Odyssey (property managers) was great to deal with, thoughtful, profession and responsive - great folks!

Perfect Yachats Getaway

We had a wonderful time at this rental! Location was close to walking trail along the ocean and just a couple minutes drive to town. Yachats has always been our favorite family spot along the coast and this rental was definitely one of the best! We so appreciated the hot tub each day, kids loved the ping pong table and all the games. The houses was very clean, the kitchen was large and well equipped for family meals, 2.5 bathrooms were nice for all of us. We will definitely be back! The only negative thing I hate to mention(because everything else was so great) is the bed in the primary bedroom was not comfortable, other than that everything was perfect! Thank you! 🙂

My family loved our stay at the starfish house. Yachats never disappoints and this house's garage ensemble of ping-pong and Foosball gave us great activities when it rained. The hot tub was awesome -- clean and hot. House was clean and well stocked.

Nice place for 3 couples. 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms! Nice hot tub. Didn't have time to use the rec room, but it looks like a great place to ping pong, etc.

Starfish House

A very nice house for a family. Garage "toys" and hot tub a big hit with young and old alike. Dining table sits up to 10, plus stools and tables for 4, if needed. Could see the sunset over the ocean from inside the house every night. It would be nice to have the outside furniture cleaned--it would have required quite a bit of work to make it usable (and access to a hose and faucet is somewhat a mystery).

Great Family Vacation Home

The house we rented with Ocean Odyssey was perfect for our family. The location was so lovely. It was steps from the beach and everything the town has to offer as well as close to gorgeous hiking and beach trails. The house was equipped with a hot tub and a game room. The sleeping and living spaces were comfortable and spacious. I would definitely rent with them again.

Since I stayed a somewhat lengthy period, a call from the property management company to check on my satisfaction with the property would have been appreciated. We stayed here for a week and this location was a perfect work from home location with so many amenities and just minutes walk to the coast/town/sunset. There was a great open kitchen, large dining room table and living room complete with ocean view. We loved using the hot tub every night, walking to the coast to take in the views along the 804 trail. The back yard was cute and well appointed with hammock and fire pit and the spacious garage had a fun game set up!

Perfect getaway

We are a family of 5 (3 teen daughters). This is the second time we have stayed in this home. It has a well stocked kitchen, so we were able to make our own meals. It has a nice hot tub in a private backyard. It is a very short walk to the beach and trails that follow along the coast. If it is rainy, there is foosball and ping pong in the garage as well as several board games to choose from. I would highly recommend this rental and hope we can visit again in the future!

The Perfect Yachats Location!

Starfish House sits in the perfect location in Yachats! In just a short 2 minute walk, you'll arrive at the Adobe Resort, Smelt Sands State Park and the 804 Trail for some of the best views of the Oregon Coast, tide pools and agate hunting. It's also just a one minute drive from the center of town for dining and shopping. The house is roomy but cozy, well kept and clean. We'll be staying here again!

Was somewhat dismayed that the foosball, airhockey, etc. combination game board was one of the cheaply-built kings. Also, the dartboard was pretty flimsy. In all honesty, we chose this house specifically for those games. However, the ping-pong table was great! And your working with us for discounted nights stays was greatly appreciated and the secondary reason we chose to go with you over anyone else. We'll be looking to stay with you again this month (or next).
