Restful week

Best Ocean Vacation Ever
It was amazing to have the ocean in our front took my breath away. It was so beautiful that I couldn't put my camera away. Our rental house met our every expectation. It was very comfortable with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. I hope to return again for another visit.

A Peaceful Retreat

We had an upfront and personal peaceful retreat in quiet Yachats OR where we have been enjoying the ambience for over 30 years. This Seaside Cottage was the perfect place - cozy, warm and quiet...well except for the calming ocean roar! We didn't turn on the TV once - had amazing sunny warm winter weather and spent most of our time outside hiking or just sitting on the deck watching the wild Oregon Coast.

Simply sublime!

There are no words to express our delight with Seaside Cottage. It exceeded our expectations in every way. It was so perfect, we hardly budged from the cottage. We make annual trips to Yachats, loving it's old-time beach town vibe, and we usually drive all over looking at our favorite sites. This time we lined up the chairs and became simply mesmerized by the incredible view right outside our windows. Home was spotless and welcoming, kitchen very well equipped, and plenty of room for our party of six. We are already making plans to return and from now on, Seaside Cottage will be our Yachats "home." If I could give it more than five stars, I would!

Good all year

Seaside Cottage is a wonderful vacation place in summer or winter. We just came back from a few days there so we could observe the King tides. Spectacular view! The cottage is maintained well and is well supplied. I am so happy to find a place that does not accept pets. They are hard to find! My only suggestions would be for a coat tree for jackets(especially wet ones) or hooks in the hallway for them.

Our favorite house on the coast

Booking was easy and when an emergency came up we were able to change our reservation to a day later. Ocean Odyssey was helpful and friendly in making this possible.
When we arrived in Yachats on a cold night in January and the heat in the main room wasn't working, Peter was over in no time to find and fix the problem. The house was extremely clean, very cozy and well supplied and had a magnificent view of the crashing waves. And finally when extreme weather in the valley closed all the passes over the coastal range, Ocean Odyssey was able to extend our stay until safe to drive home. They made us feel like the quality of our stay was important to them. Very different from many other vacation rental agencies. Ocean Odyssey is my new "go to" place to find lodging on the Oregon Coast.

Lovely View But House Needs Updating
We love the view from this house. So perfect! And we love Yachats too. However we were very disappointed that some updates we have asked for before have not been addressed. The toilets in the bathrooms are made for 2-5 year olds. Seriously they are <1 foot off the floor. And there are no bars or anything to assist use of the toilets. They need to be replaced immediately and real toilets put in (low flow for saving water would be nice too). Also the chairs in the living room are made for children (they sink way down to the floor when you sit in them). This house is not set up for seniors or anyone 50+ (e.g., no bars in bathrooms for getting in and out of the bathtubs). It would be really nice if the owners addressed this and made the house usable for everyone.

What a fabulous stay! The Seaside cottage is in an ideal location, right on the coast, where we could watch from the living room to see the mesmerizing, crashing waves onto the rocks. The cottage is very clean and comfortable with comfy beds and couches, and feels like a home, not a rental. It is very close to the restaurants in Yachats and the paths. Highly recommended!

We were very comfortable at Seaside Cottage. The kitchen is stocked extremely well. Everything was clean. And of course the view is spectacular! We hadn’t brought our own bath soap because most places provide it or have the European style dispensers in the showers. We purchased our own. This is a minor inconvenience, though. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay very much.

A true gem on the Oregon Coast

We fell in love with Seashine Cottage from the minute we arrived. We have rented dozens of houses over the years and these owners by far were the best at providing small comforts and different treats for our stay and treating us like family, not just strangers. The location in Yachats is awesome. We stayed for a week and ventured out far on some days, but quickly realized you don't need to go far from the cottage to see the most stunning places along the Oregon Coast. We walked to coffee at The Village Bean and ate dinner in town every night. We ate like kings in Yachats and can't wait to go back. The home is full of many games, movies and books to read and we utilized it all during the rainy days. The fire pit and sunsets in the yard were my favorite. We feel like we found a real gem in this cottage and we can't wait to come back again soon.

DELIGHTFUL!

The cottage location was perfection-- and the windows, beds, patio chairs, view-- so the s'mores fixings were icing on the cake!!! I would HIGHLY recommend this home, and hope we'll be right back to it. We got bread from the bakery, coffee from coffee shops, and veggies from the farmers' market. It was so perfect for our family of 6 adults.

Amazing View of the Coast
We love staying in this house (this was our 5th time over the years)! You can't beat the view and the neighborhood is nice and quiet. We do feel that some things need updating, however. The wooden deck needs replacing as it is getting worn out. Also the toilets need replacing; they are old and very small and one of the seats was broken. If the place is updated, it will be the perfect place to be!

The Seaside Cottage was such a beautiful place. We spent a week there and loved every minute! The location right on the ocean is so great! We enjoyed each beautiful sunset by the fire in the yard overlooking the rocky ocean. We loved watching the waves crash as the tide came in. We were lucky enough to see a whale while there as well.
The house had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked with all the items needed to make meals and the home decore was beachy and welcoming. We loved our stay and will definitely be back!

If you are looking for a place in Yachats, I say go for the best. In my mind, this rental is the best. I searched the website for less expensive places but kept coming back to the location and “feel” of Seaside Cottage. It rained almost our entire stay but the five of us were able to wave-watch either from the deck or through pristine large windows from a cozy indoor space.

It was such a lovely, comfortable home. And very likely, the cleanest rental we've stayed in, not only on the Oregon Coast, but across many states and countries. It was incredibly quiet and exactly what I needed as a retreat away from dealing with some family business a few miles away.
It's my second experience with Ocean Odyssey. They're a very low-touch management company as far as communication and response times. That's fine by me because we're very low-maintenance, but worth noting if you expect more.

We absolutely loved everything about this house for our group's stay. From the outside the house appears small, but it proved to be both very roomy and comfortably cozy inside. This place has amazing views and is so well appointed and stocked. Super clean, super comfortable. The kitchen is especially well equipped with all kinds of cookware, full-size fridge and stove and dishwasher. Decor is not the typical vacay rental hand-me-down hodgepodge but is all tasteful and thematic. Lots of thoughtful little extras. The whole place is super clean as well. Highly recommend!

It doesn’t hurt that we had 3 spectacular weather days for our stay in Yachats. The other thing that is so clear is the owners care that you have a good experience. The house is beautifully equipped: kites, crab pots, games, kitchen, laundry. Nothing is left out. And then there’s the view! You van easily walk to town.
Only complaint is the king mattress needs flipping or changing out. There’s a mountain in the middle. Otherwise it’s very comfortable. And the owners care that people have a good sleep experience as they’ve provided different degrees of firmness in the 3 bedrooms. Who else thinks about that. Terrific owners!

Seaside Cottage - Two Thumbs Up
The rental property is the best I've experienced on the Oregon Coast. The house itself was clean, well organized, comfortable, and very attractive. The oceanfront property is perfectly located with easeful beach and downtown access. Additionally, the property manager was kind and understanding when I reported a minor mechanical malfunction. Thank you for an enjoyable experience. I intend to return in the future.

We love staying at this cottage, but encountered one problem this time. The toilets in the two bathrooms are very low to the ground, and as we get older it is harder to get up from a toilet so low. It would be helpful if at least one of the commodes was higher (making it more handicap accessible.) Other than that, we very much enjoyed staying there. It is very well equipped, and the view is great.

Plenty of room and great location in Yachats. We have stayed here several times and have never been disappointed. Only negative concerning beach time was that the local restaurants and particularly the brewery were very disorganized d/t the pandemic rules. We just brought our own food and ate in!

Everything about acquiring this rental was smooth and simple. The management company was chill and as we soon discovered, the owners are amazing people. We really can't say enough about the cottage. It was immaculate, gorgeous and very well equipped. Beautiful ocean front locale in the hip little town of Yachats. Eagles, whales and deer spotted in and around the area. Lots to do and see here!

Our rental experience was amazing. Getting the directions to the place, where to find the key, and what to expect were simple and clear. When we arrived, it was late, but the moment we stepped foot into the home, we felt so welcome. It was a beautifully decorated home with comfortable beds to the plush soft carpet. (my kids actually miss the carpet!) We fell asleep to the sounds of the ocean crashing on the rocks. We woke up to the most beautiful sight of the ocean and couldn't wait to start our coastal vacation. We enjoyed the little town with the most amazing coffee in Yahats...The Village Bean. We drove for all the sight seeing in the area and totally relaxed. The property was perfect and clean! We enjoyed walking along the rocks near tide pools and the paths that brought us to the most amazing beachy areas. Our favorite was Hobbit Trail! WOW!

Beautiful Peaceful Place
This is my 10th time at this property and it continues to exceed expectations. The view, furnishings and kitchen equipment are no less than I would choose for myself - excellent - and well-stocked pantry is unusual and greatly appreciated. I had waffles for the first time in 50 years! The proximity to both town and the ocean is the best it could be. The only thing I would change is to replace or at least flip or put plywood under the very saggy mattresses in the west and north bedrooms, but I am used to a firm mattress.

Perfect oceanfront cottage in Yachats!

Have rented houses all over the country and this one is excellent in every respect. A wonderful little kitchen/living area well equipped and supplied with just about anything you might want/need with at least a 180 view of ocean. It was very clean, well maintained and comfortably furnished. Only negative...not enough time!
