SeaClift - Big Stump Beach Ocean Front
SeaClift is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home at the edge of town located at the popular Big Stump Beach. Miles of sandy beach to walk. Just to the south of the home is where you will find Big Stump, a very old tree. A redwood stump, to be exact, when redwoods are known to be confined to the area south of Brookings. A redwood which, it appears, grew here. People have been visiting it since long before the white settlers arrived; in fact, the local Native Americans honored it with an offering of white stones or shells as they passed by.
At SeaClift you can gather with friends or family with all the comforts of home. Enjoy an evening on the deck grilling up some yummy food or have a nice evening inside during those coastal blistery days.
There is room for everyone. SeaClift features 3 queen beds and a bunk bed for the kiddos. Your dog child is welcome too.

Quaint Home on the Beach

Loved our stay at SeaClift. Very comfortable. All one level for us older folks. It looks straight out onto the beach. Easy access to walk down to the beach. Waldport is my favorite place to stay on the Oregon coast. Booking with Ocean Odyssey VR is very convenient. We have been using them for many years. Great customer service! Thanks! SeaClift rental
Loved the location right on the beach, wonderful view, listening to the ocean when sleeping, and with a fenced yard for my two small dogs. Comfortable home. Small inconveniences: 1)Faucet in bathroom leaks and couldn't get it shut off completely, 2) Said basic spices but no salt. 3) Ants. I would stay there again.

Beautiful ocean views

We love this location! The house is clean and we love that it has a washer and dryer and a dishwasher. I wish the broken garbage disposal could be repaired or removed and electrical outlets in one bathroom repaired but those issues don’t stop us from renting. Also, the people at Ocean Odyssey are awesome to work with.

This house was a great size and had a fantastic view with handy beach access close by. I wish it would have had an actual fenced yard and some bedside tables. Heat was a little uneven but it was overall comfortable once we figured out some quirks. A little dusty, some drippy faucets some burned out lightbulbs. Nothing terrible.

Great little place right on the beach
It was a great little older home that allowed us to bring our dogs. The house had most of the things we needed however it was a bit dated and some things didn’t work quite as well as they could have. The house is super easy access from the road and very close walk to the beach which was nice. The view was great and the fireplace was a great feature for us. Od stay there again.

Favorite Place to Stay since childhood!

This used to be my Grandparent's cabin, my grandfather built the back half from lumber that floated up on the beach from a logging barge that lost its load. Their beautiful iron bed is still in their room. It has been 40 years since I stepped foot in this cabin, and it is just as lovely! It still has the kitchen cabinets he built, and much of it is the same. Felt wonderful! I think we will rent it every year!

Ocean Odyssey
We love the view and the quaint feel of the home. (It is Important the bushes are trimmed so you can see the view, so I have checked on that both times we have stayed.)

Had a wonderful stay at the SeaClift. The view is breathtaking and the sound of the ocean so very relaxing! Home is very spacious and the fully fenced back yard was great for my dog. Also a great location to any needed amenities, highly recommend!

Incredible ocean views, comfortable home with the path to the beach two houses down the driveway. Appropriately dated for the coast, which is what we prefer :). Not the cleanest vacation rental we have stayed in.... but we would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Sealift Big Stump

I enjoyed my stay at SeaClift. The weather did not cooperate, and it was very nice to sit around the fireplace and enjoy the view of the ocean. This is an older place, and if you’re looking for a fancy beach house, this isn’t the place for you. But I loved it, it has the old cabin feel of my childhood camping. The kitchen was very well supplied, the place was clean, with nice bedding and towels. Lots of pillows and extra blankets if needed. It has easy access to the beach, so we could come and go a couple times a day. There still is an ant problem, so food needed to be kept cleaned up and put away.
Ocean Odyssey Vacation Rentals was extremely helpful and helped me adjust the reservation when my sister’s train was delayed. I definitely look forward to renting with them again.

Great views and access to the beach!

The location was very good with access to the beach. House is very dated and needs some tlc . Cobwebs thru out led us to believe it isn’t rented often. Kitchen needs silverware and knives. Bathrooms are dated and rusty. Beds were comfortable.

October weekend on Big Stump beach

We loved being right on the ocean. This group of cottages in Oregon includes a cabin where my family spent many Memorial Day Weekends in the 1970s. It is not available for rent, but Seaclift is. All these cottages are about 80 years old and most have not been upgraded much. They are "rustic" and eclectically furnished over the decades. Our cabin needs a lot of updating of fixtures and appliances. It was reasonably clean (we had an ant problem) but could be nicer. The proximity to the ocean makes up for it. Note that the unit does not have direct access to the ocean as our 70s cabin does. But access is only a couple of units away, so not terribly inconvenient. I would give our experience a solid 7 out of 10

Good features, great location, dated house

It's hard to beat the price for a location this great with a fenced in backyard! The house isn't the nicest, since it is dated, but it's got 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms with queen beds (2 bunkbeds too, but we weren't looking for that), washer/dryer, and did I mention, a fenced in backyard! We brought our dogs, had all 5 adults able to sleep comfortably (though the mattresses could use replacing), and a great view of the ocean, beach, and waves! A big picture window and a sliding glass door out to a good sized deck that sits above the fence line made for great views! If you can get past the dated house, this is a great spot to rent.
When we arrived, it hadn't been cleaned sufficiently (hair in the shower, nail clippings on the couch), so we reached out to the number they gave us to text if there were any issues, and they refunded us a night. I would have preferred they sent someone to clean. We felt an ick factor the rest of our stay which detracted a bit from our enjoyment.
Overall, I'm glad we got away to the coast, and I would consider renting that place in the future. I believe in second chances.

Great house and great view

My two friends and I had a great time. The walk to the beach was short and the beach was immaculate.
Upside: Lots of bedrooms with queen beds. The view is great, and the location was quiet.
Downside: Very little room in the kitchen, but we didn't go there for the kitchen so no big deal. We would definitely rent again.

Paid too much for this unit

great location and view, House was very clean but outdated. Outlets in kitchen stopped working, Primary bedroom toilet kept running and garbage disposal was almost non working. I sent a message to the rental agency but no one responded except to bring towels. (none in the kitchen and only 3 bathrowels to speak of.

Needs some TLC
Nice, quiet location on beach. Most things worked, tho the propane grill has seen better days and did not have a user's manual. The yard was a mess with weeds 2-3 feet high. Looks like it hadn't been moved or weedwhacked all year. Poor. The kitchen sink faucet had a serious leak that went below the sink if you ran the water for very long. We left a note for the cleaner. The stove light went out. Other than that, it was ok, tho the fireplace area was pretty dirty. We had a good time with our grandson.

The Bad: The yard looked like it hadn't been managed since last year. The weeds were 3-4 feet tall in both front and back yards. We couldn't use the backyard at all aside from the deck area. There was something growing through the wall in one of the bedrooms, maybe a bush or a weed?? That "vegetation" was covered in some kind of bug. Yes, it was in a dark corner of the room, but the cleaning service should have found this.
Lastly, we arrived to a VERY leaky faucet. I sent a video to the manager who called within minutes to schedule a repair for the following day. Since it only leaked when it was on, we opted to have them fix it upon our departure. Customer Service was prompt, professional and kind -Thank you!
I don't like leaving negative reviews, so I will conclude that the place has potential, it just needs some TLC.

Amazing views, comfy home

We loved our stay here. We had some stormy wether while we were there, which was fun to watch from the livingroom. Being so close to the beach was nice because we were able to take advantage of the weather breaks and get out there. The house is traditionally decorated and I loved that. It felt very homey and comfortable. It was very clean. The only negative was the tall grass in the backyard. We had our dogs with us, and it made it more difficult to clean up after them. The fenced-in yard was a great perk though

Cute, Cozy, Great View but low ceiling

This is an old beach cabin with a great ocean view. It has some nice updates (windows, floors, fireplace, deck), and a large added 3rd bedroom, 2nd bath, laundry and a garage which is not accessible with rental. The ceiling is very low (6'10") which can feel cramped, especially for tall people. The kitchen is overstocked with tableware and pots and pans, but is cramped. Interior maintenance was OK (a bedroom door would not latch, a wall light had no cover). Beds are comfy. The ocean side yard was a mess with invading shrubbery, uncut grass and a partially falling down rusty fence. Beach access is 2 houses away and has a good hand rail to help with the slippery footing. We liked it, but it's not for everyone.

Proximity to beach for play and view is outstanding. One level home very comfortable. The owner relies on guest to keep up with basic cleaning and tidiness, but not everyone does. That means you may want to clear a few cob webs out of corners. New range and hood, new flooring are nice updates.

Wonderful "no frills" beach house

We had a wonderful stay at this beach house! Our group of 5 (plus trusty canine companions) loved the proximity to the ocean, the fenced backyard, and the comfortable house. This beach house definitely feels like a quirky family home (lightswitches with their own agendas, mismatched furniture, etc.). For us, this made it feel homey and nice. While the house is not perfect, the staff were attentive, and we would definitely stay again in the future!

Great View

A great place to stay with an oceanfront view. Access to the secluded beach is available on a property line one house north of the rental home. The pots and pans are a little rough, but we brought a pot and pan of from home to use while there. Perfect place for a getaway with the family and we weren't charged any wierd erroneous fees. Bill was straight forward. Hoping to rent from this company again.

This is a rustic home perched over Big Stump beach in waldport, Or.
The kitchen was well stocked. ( just keep looking it is there somewhere)
The beds are comfortable, and the bedding is clean and light!
The heat works well and we were warm during our stay. The wind blew and the rain lashed, but we were cozy !
The yard looked nice but the weather was such that we stayed inside much of the time and enjoyed the fantastic views!
The house is pet friendly, so we could have our dog which was a plus.
We did get a lovely hike at nearby Cape perpetua park.
I would highly recommend this house. And I would stay on it again myself. Ocean Odyssey is the place for pet friendly rentals on the Oregon coast.

Seaclift a place to stay!

If you want a place that is private with a great view of the ocean, then Seaclift is the place for you. We enjoyed our visit to the coast with a great view of the ocean. If you have trouble going up steps, be sure and have someone to help you. They are small step up at the house. Got Great customer service. It is well worth the price for the view. Thank you. It is located so you don't have to travel far to where you may want to visit. Would consider staying here again.
