Great location, needs new beds
The view and location were wonderful. Unfortunately, the beds were small and uncomfortable. We could not get a good night's sleep the four days that we were there. Everything else was okay.

Superb location and view, very basic comforts

Nice and clean, no issues until the storm kicked up. Lots of noise from the fireplace, but fun to have a thunderstorm at the beach!

Beautiful Beach House with a View

Very relaxing. Great home with a view - not only living room, but main room & one of the guest rooms. Having the windows open & hearing the ocean waves was wonderful.
I gave 4 stars for property’s general condition, reasons below:
-Patio could use new outdoor chairs - current chairs are dirty. Purchase new chairs at end of season.
- I’ve never had to start towels in washer & put in dryer - I get it’s not a big deal - but we do pay a housekeeping fee.
- Old flowers left on kitchen table in nasty water.
- Would be nice if owner/management to supply a box of tissues.
- Leave an extra household garbage bag - one bag isn’t enough.

Beautiful Yachats!

We had a great stay. This was our 2nd time in this house and will be returning. For the most part it has everything you need although it could use an upgrade on a few items (linens and knives or maybe just a sharpener). It could stand to have a deep clean as well. But all in all great place with a beautiful view. Thanks for sharing your home!

Great Ocean Views From a Warm and Friendly Home

We enjoyed our stay in this comfortable home and hope to repeat the experience. We have usually stayed closer to the beach, but as much as we have loved those vacations, the peaceful neighborhood, friendly neighbors, and the pleasant surroundings of the cottage made this one of our best times at Yachats. The kitchen has pretty much everything you need, there is an excellent library right in the front room, and if you like puzzles, there are many beautiful ones to choose from. Someone has carefully chosen artwork to display, which added to the feeling that this has been a happy home and we are lucky to be able to visit.
The fenced dog yard was great, but if you have a large dog, you'll want to take lots of walks with him/her as there is not enough space for a big dog to run and play. And because the house is on a bluff, the street is quite steep for cars and people. None of that diminished our time there. And the walk to town and the beaches below is a pleasure.
There was a mechanical problem with the clothes dryer, but a call to Ocean Odyssey brought a repairman early the next day and we were back in business with a washer and dryer.
The most wonderful thing was the view of the ocean, which we could also hear very clearly at night. We were there for a full moon, and that view of the full moon over the dark ocean from the balcony was one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen.

Wonderful Yachats

My sister and I enjoy our once a year trip to Yachats every October in memory of the loved ones we've lost in October. Peter and Katie at Ocean Odyssey are wonderful hosts and make our stay a real treat. We love Pacific View as it has a fireplace which is a real treat.

Agate Central
We were 3 adults and stayed at this property from September 10 to September 24. Home was well stocked with all kitchen utensils, dishes, glasses etc. Home was central all the things we liked to do and an easy walk or short drive to restaurants. Only problem we had was 4 of the interior doors wouldn't close due to very tight fit and swelling due to humidity. Other than that, we had a great stay and would stay here again.

Beautiful Relaxing vacation

My husband and I had such a great stay! The house was nice and roomy. Perfect for a small family with children. Although it is not next to ocean it is close enough to hear waves crashing and a short walk to the 804 trail. The house had everything we needed but could use an update on linens. This was our third trip to Yachats. We always eat at Lunas Fish House for the best fish and chips( Salads are great as well!)Drift Inn has a pretty good wood fired pizza. Dine in or take out. So much to see and do. We absolutely love this little Gem!

Great Yachats Getaway

Stayed here before and love it every time. Yachats is the greatest place in the world and this house is perfect for our family of four. Two bedrooms for our boys and one for us. And the view is amazing and it’s close to town. We can even walk into town. House was clean and perfect

Great Oregon Coast Stay

I love the house - it has a warm & inviting atmosphere, a fantastic view, and is in walking distance to town & the stores! Cleaning & maintenance could be improved, but we left a list with management & hopefully things were in better shape for the next visitors. Overall, it is a lovely place to stay & I hope to go back again!

Amazing place in an awesome little town

My kids and I had another amazing vacation on the Oregon coast, loved the house, very nice and roomy inside, the view from the deck is amazing, very conveniently located on the coast, tons of beaches within 30min north or south. Fell in love with the town of Yachats. We will definitely be staying here again if we can.

Clean and comfortable with a great view

This home was very clean and had all the necessities, including plenty of towels (very important if you're visiting the beach). The home is nicely furnished and the beds are very comfortable. Our only recommendation is that a small sign with the house number be placed more prominently on the property. We came in late at night and weren't sure we were at the right place until we tried the lockbox.

Overall was good. There were a few little things like the microwave leaking, so it was unusable the entire stay and one of the burners was also unusable on the stove. Plumbing in one bathroom was fixed a few days in. Comfortable beds, perfect size and price for my family. Great view and close to everything. Overall good and would stay again

Great value, comfortable for family

This 3 br 2 ba house is on a slope which allows for nice views of the ocean from the deck. It is an easy walk to the water's edge, tide pools and to the center of Yachats. The layout of the house allowed for kid bedrooms and parent bedroom to be on opposite ends, with family room/dining area in the middle. A small fenced in yard was nice for the dog, and the quiet neighborhood was nice for a walk. This was a really great value as a base of operations for our family to explore some of the natural beauty of the central coast. I would recommend it to a friend.

A comfortable, safe place to relax and rekindle.
3 of us stayed at Pacific View and had an excellent time. It is such a comfortable home. The layout is nice with a large kitchen open to the dining room and kitchen with a great view out through the deck. The living room chairs and couch are comfortable. The table expands to seat 8. All of the bedrooms have a view of the ocean. The beds are on the smallish size for a couple, but seem fine for 1 person.
The home is perched on a hill, but we walked down, around town, and on the 804 trail to the beach and back up to the home fairly easily.
We would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing Retreat

Love the layout of the house. Was perfect for our family of four with two teenagers. Great view from the balcony and the living room and bedroom windows. Spare bedroom mattresses could use updating, but overall loved the place and already thinking about when we can come stay again.

Weekend Getaway

We booked this location for my husband's birthday, and we got our reservation in just in time. The staff at Ocean Odyssey were extremely helpful and very quick to get us the information we needed. When we arrived at the property, it was vey clean and inviting. The only issues we came across were in the master bedroom: There was some dog hair on the master bed, the door handles on the bedroom and closet doors were slipping on and off, and the water for both toilets in the house had not been turned on. Overall, we had an amazing time exploring Yachats and enjoying the much-needed retreat at Pacific View. Thank you, Ocean Odyssey!

The property was exactly as described from the website, the instructions to get there were very clear and the home was very welcoming after a long day of driving. There were 5 of us staying at the home and we had an absolutely amazing trip. The house was conveniently located for the activities that we planned while there. Being able to see the location of the house before booking helped a lot with finding the right home. We could easily see the ocean from the house and hear the ocean at night as an extra bonus. Being able to prepare meals at the house helped control expenses and all the kitchen utensils we needed was provided. I would definitely use Ocean Odyssey again for a future trip!

everything was great. The house was perfect overall. There was a lot of dog hair from previous renters but we were understanding of how difficult it can be to get dog hair out of rugs and furniture.
