One Hundred Thousand Welcomes is the perfect home base for discovering the central Oregon coast.

To the south is the charming village of Yachats and beautiful rocky coastline of Cape Perpetua and all the breathtaking views in between.

To the north is Seal Rock, Newport and Depoe Bay, offering interesting and fun activities for everyone. From whale watching and fishing, surfing and kayaking, tide pooling to art galleries. Not to mention lots of eclectic eateries. The list can go on and on. You are in a perfect location to experience it all.

Views and comfort

We had a lovely, quiet stay. We enjoyed the views and the proximity to the beach, the comfy beds, the full kitchen and having 2 bathrooms! Our dog had a great time and she appreciated the dog towels at the door which kept the inside all clean!

Sandpiper Village Vacation Rental

Great property as advertised. Ocean Odyssey was very easy to deal with and available by phone for our questions. Great place that was a 10 minute walk to the beach. We had a great time with our two small dogs and the sun room was a bonus. The hot tub was a great place to star gaze as well.

Vacation

We loved the house especially the ocean view! The backyard was nice for our dogs. We had a carbon monoxide detector that went off in the middle of the night that we were able to unplug but didn’t receive any response back from management. We also had a hot tub cleaner randomly show up that would have been nice to be communicated about. House was great but management communication can be better.

This is a lovely home where every detail is thoughtful and every square foot is tended to. No surprises. The view, the accomodations - are all as described. The neighborhood is very quiet and dark sky at night for star gazing.

A Sweet Retreat

Perched on a ridge overlooking the ocean in the Sandpiper neighborhood. This was a quiet, private, comfortable, well maintained home. There is an easy path to a hidden lake, an easy 2 block walk to the beach, and pleasant deck to sit and watch the ocean. If it's stormy, there is a nice fireplace to burn presto logs. Comfortable beds and furniture. Cute kitchen with lots of pots, pans, and utensils. Very nice.

Absolutely fantastic. Our 2nd Christmas here and hope to stay again in 2024. This home is everything anyone could possibly want. The view is magnificent with a short walk to the beach. The weather was in the mid 50's the whole time we were there with no wind. We can't find the words to rave about this place any more.

Wonderful home

The house was great. Super impressed with the cleanliness. The views were great and an easy walk to the beach. We were expecting a guest at midnight one night and the lighting at the front of property was pretty non-existent. Our only other complaint is that there wasn't more of a warning for step down bathroom. My husband has some handicaps and he fell twice. Overall very comfortable home thoroughly enjoyed by our family. Thank you so much.

Wonderful stay in Walport

This home and location are wonderful. . As if friends are letting you stay at their home for a vacation. Rentals often have limited decor or are spartan. This feels like a real home. Three block to the endless beach .well equipped kitchen and very clean.

Two couples found it comfortable and very convenient to both beach and shops in Waldport. Kitchen equipped for serious cooking, except knives need sharpening. This Sandpiper development has an interesting path over and around dunes to beach as well as direct access.

Amazing!

We had the most amazing stay here! The house/property is fantastic! The deck view and yard are amazing. Such a dog friendly and relaxing place. Easy beach access with miles of empty beaches to walk. One of the best places we’ve stayed in Oregon. We’ll definitely be back.

One Hundred Thousand Thank Yous

We had an amazing stay at this house. The location is great - in a nice, quiet neighborhood with multiple beach accesses just minutes away - and the house is outstanding. Even though the property is not beachfront you still have an incredible view of the ocean because it sits on a hill. The house has many thoughtful amenities, especially for guests with four paws, and is extremely clean. The beach access was really only used by residents so the beach was pretty empty. The only negative is that the yard isn't fenced for those with canine companions. But that was a minor inconvenience in comparison to all the positives. We look forward to staying here again!

Wonderful landing spot for our family weekend

This entire home was literally spotless and had so much charm. It was a very dog friendly home, which we loved, and it didn't have any funny smells like some dog friendly rentals have. The beds and the layout of the house were very comfortable and the views of the ocean were stunning. The hot tub was clean and comfortable. The walk to the beach was short and lovely. We loved everything about this house and our stay and will definitely be visiting again. Would highly recommend. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Beautiful Rental Home

We had a wonderful time renting One Hundred Thousand Welcomes home and would eagerly rent again. The home decorations were amazing. Still, there were a few issues: The two bathrooms do not have exhaust fans, the door to the right of the fire place was stuck and would not open, the master bathroom window had no curtain, and the queen bed was not great. One eyebolt on the hot tub cable needs to be reset.

Loved our Stay! Incredible view and nearby beach access

Fantastic house with incredible views and proximity to the beach (which was nearly empty). Great place for a long late winter weekend at the coast. Cozy living areas and two TVs - huge help if you have young kids. Cozy and quiet. Nearby properties aren't too far away, but landscaping gives the home a very private feel. Fully stocked kitchen, all appliances in working condition. I hope we'll be back!

The house is comfortable and clean. The yard and deck with hot tub are private and well maintained. The view is incredible. It’s a short walk to the beautiful and uncrowded beach where we flew kites, rode bikes, boogie boarded and played in the surf.

One tip: if you are in the rental in the afternoon, put the sunshades down early because since it is West-facing, the house gets warm!

Privacy and a spectacular view

The house is great, two bedrooms and a bonus room with a futon makes this house big enough for a small group. The view from the living/dining/kitchen is perfect with a beautiful ocean view looking over and past other houses with a lot of greenery as screening between this and other houses, but this is a small house. There is a door that separates the bonus room from the main living area so that is helpful for separating noise.

The house has dog bowls, dog towels and accessories for pups, kitchen has some spices and paper products were in the home for us which would have saved us bringing/buying a lot of things.

The downsides: the hot tub jets under perform so it’s great for soaking, but if you want strong jets this isn’t the tub for you. The house has towels, but could use a few more (but at least there’s a washer and dryer to be able to clean them as needed). The house is on the small side, don’t expect much privacy within your group.

We all agreed the house is great though and we’d love to come back.

This house is beautiful! The views are gorgeous and the beach is a short, short walk away. The grounds are beautiful, and the outdoor hot tub is wonderful for star gazing at night. The house is very well appointed with all you would need. There are two nice bedrooms, with one being a very nice master suite. There is also a sun room with a futon. This is seriously a beautiful place.

Our favorite beach rental on the coast!

This is the second time we have stayed at this property and look forward to returning again. The home is beautiful, private and very comfortable. The views from the large windows are incredible. The sun room is lovely. The hot tub on the deck a treat. It is a short 5-10 minute walk down the road to a long stretch of beach.

Beautiful fall weekend!

Lovely comfortable home. Plenty of cozy and functional living space, all with expansive views and extra nice outdoor space. Though there are houses around, hot tub is perfectly situated for privacy AND view. Lots of room inside for families even on rainy days. Kitchen was small but fairly well equippped and quite functional for three serious cooks (one at a time!). Master bath was nice, but its sliding louvered (why!?)door was not for the bashful. Main bath is nice. . Backyard would be perfect for al fresco dining with the addition of table and chairs. Views were beautiful and the home is bright and airy in the daytime. As with many rental homes, evening lighting can be dim and depressing, with not enough ambient lighting, and those lamps present often having budget bulbs which feel cold and cheap. It wouldn’t take much to completely change the evening ambiance in that charming space from bleak to warm and inviting. The overhead fan light is NOT the answer. I’ll be back, I hope, but packing lamps and lightbulbs!

Always Happy with Ocean Odyssey Homes and Service!

We have used Ocean Odyssey in the past; always appreciate the friendly, professional service. Both Peter and Wendy are very familiar with all the properties, which is important because I have some special needs due to mobility problems. You just don't get this same level of expertise with the large, impersonal internet agencies.

It was our first time renting One Hundred Thousand Welcomes in Waldport. This house is now at the top of our list for a return visit! Loved the large deck and the floorplan of the house. Many decorative touches inside and out. Good beds and bedding; modern furniture, nice lamps for reading, ample end tables and well-placed footstools. Dog-friendly with a large, private, wooded lot. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful 6 days at the coast in this completely comfortable home. My friends could stop by & hang out & hot tub it. My kids were able to come for a night. We went to Newport & blew a glass float. Visited Thors well and Ona beach. Super central location for everything!
