This light-filled three-bedroom house in Waldport, Oregon sits atop a cliff overlooking both the Pacific Ocean and Alsea Bay. Enjoy the sounds of the surf and extensive water views that are stunning in both sunny and cloudy weather. Guests will enjoy a private, quiet setting in a secure neighborhood, twenty minutes from Newport and ten minutes from Yachats.



Ocean2Bay offers nearby easy access to local beaches, the bay, and Alsea River. Area activities range from tide pooling and bird watching to hiking, kayaking, clamming and fishing. The full-length deck is a great viewing point both for Waldport's 4th of July fireworks and for whale watching during the peak migration periods.

Cozy Home with Beautiful Sunset Views and a Peaceful Yard

We loved our stay in Walport, Oregon! The deck was amazing—perfect for enjoying gorgeous sunset views. Coming from the desert, we especially appreciated the lush, private yard. The home was cozy and had that warm, “grandma’s house” feel that made it instantly welcoming. It had everything needed to cook meals at the house as well.

The only minor issue was that the beds were a bit creaky, which made it hard for our kid to sleep through the night. Otherwise, it was a lovely and relaxing stay. Would definitely recommend!

Beach and bay view house waldport

Everything was nice but nothing over the top the house could use some upgrades( bathroom floors pealing up, bathroom fans are super loud) The worst part about the place was the master bedroom bed. It has a thick topper that sinks in the center. Wasn’t able to sleep well and when I did woke up with back pain. Please fix this because this place is nice and would like to go back again.

2nd time around -- still wonderful!

We stayed here in 2022. We loved it then and this year's trip was equally fabulous. The house is clean, spacious and the kitchen is extremely well stocked (loved our morning lattes!). We love the privacy of the setting (you don't see other houses from the deck, just trees and sea), and we used the hot tub nearly every night.

The location is also great. It's an easy drive to Newport for the aquarium, an easier drive to Yachats for coffee and croissants at Bread & Roses Bakery, and not too long to Florence to ride the dunes.

When you're not hiking Devil's Churn, the hosts have provided games, puzzles, binoculars and a great variety of books to enjoy, as well as Netflix and Hulu through Roku. The beds are firmer than I prefer, but in good shape, and the linens and towels are plentiful and of good quality.

We'll probably stay here again in the future. And I already have a co-worker asking for the house information!

Fabulous stay in a magnificent home

We have stayed in many rental homes in the US, Canada and Europe and this home ranks close to the top. It is truly beautiful, comfortable and well equipped. The view is suburb. We enjoyed the hot tub and just being there. We are both in our 80's and it was very comfortable although my husband opted for the lower bed. We loved cooking in the kitchen. There was not only every conceivable cooking utensil available but several different kinds of each. The art and photographs all over the house were a joy to look at. And we enjoyed the wood burning fireplace. The owner had instructions for everything. They had compiled books of all the local restaurants with menus and a huge book of places to see or things to do in detail, including Galleries. I was so impressed and grateful. So we were able do many activities, like the Oregon Coast Aquarium, Yaquina Head and Light House, and Heceta Head Light House. . We went to some restaurants, Ona in Yachats and the Luna Sea Fish House in Seal Rock. But we also enjoyed watching the birds soar by our window or the beautiful view below. It really was a fabulous stay and we hope to return.

What a beautiful and charming home. It was impeccably clean. It had everything you could need in the kitchen. The view was absolutely stunning and the hot tub was such a great experience. Waldport is a beautiful little town. Quieter than some of the other towns on the coast. Close enough, however to Newport and depot bay to the north and Yachats to the south. The homeowners have a great reference library to everything in the area including recommendations for restaurants. Highly recommend I would definitely stay here again.

Great Getaway at the Oregon Coast

My friend and I enjoyed our 3-night stay at the Ocean 2 Bay house very much. The home is so light, bright, clean and comfortable, and has a great view of the ocean and Alsea river. It's well appointed in the baths and kitchen, which has every appliance one could want, and very well supplied with cookware and dishes. Loved the quality of the sheets and towels!
The TV remotes were SO easy to use, and we were thankful for the streaming services made available. We Octogenarians didn't use the beautiful king bed, as it was too high for us to get in and out of, but it sure looks comfortable!

Wonderful Waldport View

This spacious home was in a quiet neighborhood and had great views of the bay and ocean. It had lovely landscape with hydrangeas, crocosmias, fuchsias, butterfly bushes, trees, etc. There were lots of birds, from hummingbirds to eagles. We loved seeing seals and sea lions in the water from the deck, as well as boaters and even windsurfers. The hot tub was clean and we enjoyed foggy and stary nights. We saw tons of satellites and even a shooting star. It is a great base camp for day trips. We saw lots of whales and some super close at Rocky Creek and at the tiny cove by the bridge at Rocky Creek. I loved all of the light in the house. No major issues. It was well stocked. It was pretty clean. I did find a dirty cotton swab on the bathroom floor behind the trash can and the floors were sticky from cleaner. Some odd things like the sunroom is sinking and feels like you are in a Fun House. A bit of deferred maintenance, like some dry rot on southwest corner and the gutters need to be cleaned out. One morning there was a bunch of stuff on the hot tub cover and deck from something picking through the gutter. It was easily swept up. The bed was not the most comfortable. It is a no shoe house. The only real suggestion I have is to provide blue booties (shoe covers) for guests for when they are bringing in/out their luggage, groceries, etc. It is difficult to take off your shoes between each load. Shoe covers would be easier. I always bring a clean pair of slippers to slip in to.

Great views and relaxing soaks

We loved our stay. Views of the water from almost every room. The kitchen was fabulously stocked, including spices. Goldie locks beds of varying heights, with some steps for the highest bed. Hot tub was clean and relaxing. Limited seating in the living, but that wasn't why we were there. We wish our stay had been longer!

Best VRBO we have ever stayed in. From the breathtaking view, top cleaning condition, beautifully decorated bedrooms and amenities such as the huge book selection and well stocked kitchen with chef grade utensils and appliances. Thanks to Peter at Ocean Odyssey for dining tips. In safely located neighborhood, and great instructions for the renters and what is expected and who to call for info. Glad we picked this one hottub clean and a treat after a long day of siteseeing, etc. Azul Mexican restaurant in Waldport delicious. Stop by Rays and pick up Marionberry Turnovers- incredible. Hilltop Bistro great breakfast and friendly staff.

Nice House

Despite the fact we chose to stay at this nice house when it seemed the entire state of Oregon was on fire, we found the overall experience quite good. The house is in a quaint location and was pretty clean. I’m picky about kitchens and bathrooms, and the floors in these could have been cleaner. But the place was well equipped and was comfortable. I would return if I get the chance.

Wonderful stay

house is wonderful. great location and view (albeit foggy -- but that's oregon!). we really enjoyed having access to hot tub, grill, fireplace and expresso machine. we were looking to relax and socially distance away from home so Waldport was the perfect destination. the house is located on a hill across the Alsea Bay which is beautiful but can be a walk uphill -- great exercise if that's what you're looking for. also a nice little walk across the alsea bridge is do'able. we also really appreciated having a central location to all the gadget manuals and even description of the art which was fun to learn. also the kitchen was well supplied with the gadgets and spices we needed. In fact, had we known, I likely would have left my spices at home. Wonderful stay.

We loved the house! The views were amazing and the location was nice and quite. The hot tub was an added bonus. We relaxed and watched the sunset each night from the hot tub. Morning coffee on the deck watching the sun come up, listening to the birds and the sound of the ocean. Very peaceful. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need. Awesome view, lots of space and privacy, well located

Sweeping view from a full-length deck with hot tub, lots of light, three bedrooms with comfortable beds and bedding, great sunroom with TV, a nice dining and study area. Kitchen is not fancy but is exceptionally well equipped. Tall hedges provide a good sense of privacy. Our family had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the magnificent setting. Although you can't easily walk to the beach from here because it's up on a ridge, it's a really quick drive (less than 5 minutes) down the hill to Waldport restaurants/shops and to the accessible beach entrance at Patterson Memorial. It's well located for both Yachats and Newport as well. Some other reviewers seemed to have issues with the property; we did not. We loved it and will definitely come here again. It is not a "luxury" property, but it is a solid, comfortable, homey and spacious vacation rental with a view that you normally would not expect for such a reasonable price. We were also very pleased with Ocean Odyssey's professionalism and excellent customer service.

That View

View was great, location was pretty cool. Nice and quite. Little town that had everything you may need. lots of local places to eat. House was a little out dated. Like circa 1980's. Beds were pretty hard for our liking. Lots of sheet rock anchors from where pictures or something used to be on the walls. counter tops in kitchen still had crumbs and something sticky on them. Overall it was was a good place to stay if your not a clean freak and do not mind out dated decor.
