Fair Winds is a spacious home that sits on five coastal lots that offers privacy and ocean views from the main and upper level. It is the perfect spot for several couples, or families, to visit as all three areas of this home have their own separate entrance.
You can enjoy the views of the ocean as the sound of the water fountain in the front piazza of the Fair Winds
drifts through the living room window as you lie on the sofa reading a book,
or looking out through the expanse of windows past the deck to the ocean.
This wonderful home is furnished in a comfortable urban style that reflects upscale decor and comfort,
such as a leather ottoman to rest your feet and a fuzzy blanket to wrap yourself in.
While relaxing you can watch DISH television, listen to the great CD system or play games located in the side table drawers.
An electric fireplace will bring warmth and ambience to your evenings in this coastal home.

there are new comfortable beds, extra pillows, a washer/dryer unit, and hair dryers in every bathroom.
Fair Winds is centrally located at Seal Rock,
which has large off-shore rock formations that are the habitat of
seals, sea lions, sea birds and other marine life.
The Seal Rock State Wayside includes interesting tide pools as well as excellent ocean views and a sandy beach.
This eastside home is within walking distance to this fantastic park.

Dining Room: Butcher block dining table, seating for six.
Kitchen: Fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave & coffee maker, coffee grinder, wine glasses. Breakfast area with seating for two. Everything you would need to make a great meal or BBQ right on the deck through the sliding glass doors off the kitchen!
Bedroom 1: Queen size bed, Queen Anne chair.
Bathroom 1: Tub/Shower, hair dryer, stacked washer & dryer.
Bedroom 2: Queen Wrought Iron bed, Wing back chair, TV/DISH network, dresser, antique wardrobe, sliding glass door that opens to the deck.
Bathroom 2: 1/2 bath

House in in a great Location

While we enjoyed our time at this house it was not for a family that likes to cook. The kitchen was small and the refrigerator and freezer was very small for a house this size. We had to use 2 coolers with ice to be able to keep everything cool. We loved the yard and setting. The entry really needs a handrail or 2 as the stairs are very steep to get to the house. With all that said we enjoyed our stay of 11 nights at this house.

The house was clean and maintained in a great location. We were 8 women gathering together and the house accommodated us perfectly.

Comfortable home
We rented this house as an early spring 3 generation family gathering. It was roomy and comfortable on a blustery weekend. We couldn't get the electric fireplace turned on, but individual room thermostats kept us comfortable.
Clothes washer was slow, but all appliances worked.
Location is great! Ocean views from upstairs, kitchen and deck. Easy drive to lots of beach access and Newport.

We love Bill and Tina and this is not our first stay in this home. We LOVE the new deck and LOVE the home is dog friendly. Overall this is a perfect home for our whole family. However, this time we were very disappointed in how dirty the house was. One bed had dirty sheets 🙁
Nice stay, odd house

We really like how big this house is. However it is not well maintained or stocked. We have stayed here twice now and both times the upstairs landing smoke detector has been beeping. Drives me crazy and needs to be fixed. Beeps in middle of night.

Overall was a good experience,started out the cleaners were 3 hours late getting done,partly due to the partiers before us breaking things.some of the outlets in the dining - livingroom area didn't work, missing shingles over the master from storms. Spider eggs behind armoire in master. Older house with a good location and nice large lot, view of the ocean, but a good value for the money, would rent it again.

I've been renting homes along the Oregon coast every summer for years, This one is my favorite. Very private park like setting. Vegetation is beautiful. plenty of room in the house for a couple families.

Maybe repair the front porch lights and have a trash can available next time. My family has been going to this house for 30 plus years-we are happy it is still available to rent!

Seafood and wine weekend

we were very happy with the location, close to the beach and easy access to Newport. The house hade a lot of room for the 4 of us and we appreciated how quiet it was, could hear the ocean at night. The management team was great and we will be using Ocean Odyssey again on our next trip to Newport!

A great stay for a medium-large family

This is the best house we have stayed in with Ocean Odyssey. 4 bedrooms gave 4 parts of our family (6 people) ample space to live in. The views were great, the noise was extremely low and you could hear the calming surf. The only problems we ran into were some lamps in one room were non-functional and a lock on a bedroom door was broken. The toilet seat in the upstairs bathroom kept coming off (while in use, mind you). The cooking supplies (utensils, mixing bowls, pots, pans, etc) were extremely limited. Had we known what would be missing or what was in the house, we could have prepared more. The kitchen table was all but falling apart, which we repaired with the toolkit we brought. The windows were badly dirty, so I had to get out there and wash them by hand (the upstairs windows, as well). However, these problems posed only minor inconveniences. If we were to stay in another home, this would be the one to stay in. Overall it was a beautiful property.

We found the property very accommodating. There was only one roll of toilet paper and the pans were dirty that we had to wash. Overall we really enjoyed the property and our stay.
Great Vacation

The house was a great place for my son, my daughter-in-law, grand kids and myself to stay. Very roomy and comfortable. Very close to beaches and tide pools. Only downside was that the house needed some minor repair work. Would definately rent again.
