Driftwood Loft - Seal Rock
Driftwood Loft is secluded and cozy, perfect for that romantic get-a-way. Located at the end of a dead end street, this one bedroom with a queen bed, one bath, has the most spectacular views of Driftwood Beach and north Seal Rock. Enjoy watching the Winter storms and high coastal tides from the safe vantage point and comfort of Driftwood Loft. Many types of local and migratory marine birds as well as harbor seals, and whales, during their migration seasons, can be easily seen from this home. Direct beach access from a path in front of the home, although somewhat steep. (Hand rope is provided for your safety). Fully stocked kitchen with eating space at the table and bar, all appliances including washer and dryer. TV/DVD in living room which also has a queen sleeper sofa. Bedroom also has a TV and has views from the north facing window of the ocean below. Convenient parking in garage.
No Motorhomes. No boats. No trailers. Strictly enforced.

We have been coming to The Driftwood Loft for years and have actually lost count of our visits! It is our absolute favorite place on the Oregon Coast and we will keep coming until we can't climb the stairs! Ocean Odyssey is a joy to work with. The home is always clean and ready for us as promised. For us, it is the perfect escape from the heat and wildfire smoke and dangers of the high desert. We love Driftwood Loft!

Oregon Coastal Paradise

This house is perfect for a relaxing getaway to the coast! Right on the beach with unbeatable views and easy access to the sand. We loved watching the sunset from the deck. Everything was clean and orderly, with a well stocked kitchen. Also lots of comfortable living room seating, with plenty of big windows so you can watch the waves while you sip your morning coffee. I will definitely book again, best place I’ve stayed on the coast hands down!

A Home on the Ocean
We appreciated everything about this home! Location was the best for us. We instantly opened the windows and enjoyed the sound of the waves. The kitchen was well appointed, the bed was comfortable and allowed us to get the rest and relaxation we needed, the shower was nice and hot after a cool day, and the coast was at our fingertips! We would stay here again in a heart beat!

Driftwood Loft never disappoints. Great location/view of the beach, a fun little (adventurous) path down to beach or stairs a couple minutes walk away, cozy, clean, tucked away, we love being there. Thanks Ocean Odyssey for having a great place for us to stay on the coast.

Outstanding!
We enjoyed our 5-night stay at Driftwood Loft immensely. It was the cleanest facility we have ever encountered, well equipping and beach access was quite private. We’ve already booked a return visit for next year.

Getaway
Nice cozy place with a tricky short walk to the beach. This home is down a quiet dead end road. It has lots of windows and a great view.. The home was clean and well stocked. The bed wasn’t bad, we slept well. We would stay here again, but not in the summer as the home gets very warm and there was no AC. We did find a fan in the garage and once the sun went down we were able to open all the doors and windows and start to cool things down. Our navigation system took us to the road right before or after (depending on your direction) the correct road to turn down. If you see more than one home before you get to the rental, you are on the incorrect road. Home is perfectly located and close to lots of fun activities. Thanks for a great visit!

Peaceful Retreat
We enjoyed our stay at the Driftwood Loft. It sits at the end of a quiet road off busy 101 but is secluded and peaceful. We never heard the sound of traffic, only the sound of the waves and the calls of the seabirds. The living quarters of the rental is on the second story, accessible by both outside and inside stairways. A lovely beach is accessible by going down a slightly steep incline right in front of the house. There is a rope hold but the path can be slippery. We were thrilled with the peace and the view, the furnishings and all the amenities of the rental. For those with mobility concerns, the stairs to the second story living quarters and the climb down to the beach may be a challenge. Otherwise, we highly recommend this rental for a peaceful get away.

Perfection!

I literally looked for hours for a place to stay on the beach and this place did not disappoint! I needed a pet free place and I wanted it on the beach. This house being up on a bluff gave a spectacular view of the ocean compared to being at beach level. The water is closer than it looks in the pictures!! The privacy is fantastic! You can spend the day doing road trips north or south or just enjoying watching the water from comfortable swivel chairs. It was fantastic to walk out of the bedroom each morning to a full on view of the ocean. The path down to the ocean is steep for only a few steps. Kitchen was well stocked. The place was very clean.
Having the garage to park in was great.
A couple of notes...bring slippers or fuzzy socks because the floor is tile and cold. It makes for easy ckean up, though,so no worries! There isn't any extra cupboard space to stash your food, but we were able to make it work for an 8 day stay. Shopping is only 20 minutes away for whatever you need. The area is gorgrous and diverse. We definitely want to go back!

Oregon coast escape

The home offers a great view of the ocean with a feel of seclusion. The beach is a little bit of a challenge to walk down to but worth the effort. It offers miles of beach in either direction.
The home was very clean and comfortable.
Only one negative. It advertises that it sleeps four using a sleeper couch but the couch bed is inoperable.there were three of us and my adult daughter had to sleep on the couch.
It would be a great place for a couple but if there are three or more in your party look elsewhere.

Peaceful, secluded with stunning view
The house was everything we wanted plus more. Spectacular sunset views, so peaceful and quiet. It was clean. Bed was comfortable and all the windows gave us unlimited viewing of the beautiful Pacific coast.

Spectacular view. Close access to surf for beach combing. Immaculate, bed comfortable. Cell coverage dicey given location along coastline. But texting was fine. I’ll definitely rent again. Lots of good reference material! Enjoyed learning about historic bridges along the coast.

Great to be back!

This was our second stay here and it showed us again how private and unique this place is! Beach is almost all to yourself and, except for the ocean, all is quiet and laid back. Kitchen is great. Views are incredible. Stayed an extra day because we didn't want to leave! Only issue was a few lightbulbs needed to be changed that we couldn't reach - the outside porch off the living room and the downstairs hallway. Everything else was great! Will be back

Fall getaway
Very nice clean place on the beach. Beach access is a little over grown with brush but well disguised from beach traffic. Great place for couples. Because of the limited number of eating establishment a near by be sure to pack food to prepare. The place could use a BBQ for guests to use. Overall a great experience and will definitely be back.

The house was perfect for two people, but could accommodate one or two more. Amazing view and location. We enjoyed the decks and the large windows that overlook the beach. We went down to the beach for long walks every day we were there, most days more than once. Lots of stair climbing! We enjoyed the notes and information left by the owners, especially the list of places to eat. The house was stocked with most everything we needed, including a hair dryer and a crock pot. We brought our own shower soap supplies, another roll of paper towels, and had to buy more TP, but the rest was provided. Communication from property management company was the only thing I would say I could improve, the rest was wonderful! Would definitely stay here again!

Always a pleasure to stay at the Loft!
Ideal, secluded location, that is very quiet and right on the beach. Best for a couple or a small family with young kids. Very cute and has everything one needs to cook great meals, relax, watch the surf, and enjoy the area. Easy access to Waldport, Yachats, Cape Perpetua, and Newport. We always love coming back. 4th time!

My family and I had a lovely time. The loft was beautiful. The entrance though is actually the driveway before where Google took us but the owner lives at the end and was very helpful in getting us to the driveway.

Perfect Seal Rock getaway

Driftwood Loft is a lovely beachside property with expansive ocean views and easy beach access. With a kitchen set up for entertaining or family meals in a large open plan living/dining space. Every room has expansive windows to soak up with Pacific ocean views. We appreciated the secluded feeling of the loft yet enjoyed drives to local villages and inland for sightseeing and hiking.

What a special stay! (like, it's perfect)

This rental was the best rental I think I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. I cannot rave enough about the location. A view of the ocean in every room. A private, magical little entrance to the beach. Close enough to the towns for supplies, far enough away from the hustle and bustle. The cleanliness and consideration put into the stay by the hosts was unparalleled. Toys (beach toys, too!) and games for the kiddos. TV's that can accomodate streaming devices (like Roku or AppleTV). Such a reasonable rate for an INCREDIBLE stay. I would and will stay again (and again and again). I would encourage slowing down, staying in, making 3 meals a day with your family.

Needed Getaway

This place is a rare gem that we almost hate to tout for fear it'll be taken when we want to come next!! Perfect for a couple but can accommodate more in a pinch with the hideabed/couch. Very private, and uniquely so from our other experiences on the Coast. Great access to an uncrowded beach. The pic makes it look shop-like but its nothing like that inside! Very good kitchen that is well-stocked/equipped. A couple notes for others: there is significant stair-climbing from the door entrance inside up to the unit (no problem for us but may be for others) and if you arrive in the dark, the turn-off can be a bit hard to find off the highway. It is a secluded narrow driveway that adds to the privacy(I love it by-the-way) directly off the PCH, but if you're going south and you hit Sarkisian Drive then you've gone a half-block too far. We will definitely come back here again!! Beautiful!

Favorite home away from home

My favorite home away from home! So much to say about it but hate to share this little hideaway. Tucked away down a long private road with huge windows that reveal the beautiful ocean. Clean and comfortable home. Well stocked kitchen. And a little tunnel cut away through the bushes that leads to the spotless sandy beaches for walking, kite flying, and fires at sunset.

Ideal location and beautiful place
The ultimate secluded location on the beach. Amazing views, quiet, no immediate neighbors, next to a state park, and an ideal place to watch eagles and other wildlife. Clean and nicely furnished. Very comfortable oasis for relaxation.
