Beachfront charmer
Great place to stay! The location, view, and access to the beach were fantastic! The house was very clean and well stocked. Some of the furnishings were pretty worn, but everything was clean and neat. The management company was great to work with, very responsive!

Amazing Vacation
We love this house! This was our 4th year staying here and we just love the layout and the ocean views. The rocks at the bottom of the stairs to the beach are a little sporty but still a fairly easy way to get to the ocean.
The deck is always wonderful for an afternoon relax listening to the waves. The new kitchen organizers were great!

Vintage house in great location
We loved the location, beach access, and vintage charm of the house. The kitchen was great and well stocked. The downside was that the house really needed a deep cleaning, including dusting and cleaning under beds and in corners.

Location, location, location!

A perfect front row seat to all things beach...morning coffee watching the waves, solo and group walks or runs, bird watching, and best of all dog walks. The house was clean if not a bit worn but perfect for everything I wanted and needed.

A Room with the best ever view.
We rented this house for ourselves, our son and daughter-in-law and four (almost five) year-old granddaughter. It was the perfect property for her first coastal adventure. The yard was perfect for toss games and an afternoon picnic. The bunnies were a bonus. The view from the living room window is spectacular. The furniture in the house for the most part is comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked for our needs. The bathrooms are clean and easy to use. The entertainment room nice for watching the NFL draft, although most of us chose to watch the ocean the second night and forgo the TV. The bedrooms are situated so everyone has some privacy but could still hear the girl if see needed anything. Compared to other houses we have rented this house could use a good deep cleaning and simple maintenance updates. We were disappointed that one bed had only the sheets on it, and we had to scramble around to find blankets to finish the chore. The BBQ was a mess and deemed unusable. Parking required a bit of creative backing. But the breathtaking view makes any short comings irrelevant. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the property and would not hesitate to rent it again.

Our favorite place on the coast!

We love this house! It was the second time we’ve stayed here. The only reason it’s not our third is because it fills up so quickly in the Sumner months. It’s a comfortable property with plenty of room in a quiet neighborhood. I love having the backyard and the beach access. The home itself isn’t “fancy” but that’s what makes it feel more like home. The beds are all comfortable, the kitchen has most everything you need! We can’t wait to come back!

Ah-maz-ing

Wonderful, but could use some updating.
This place was great! The only negative comments would be to make sure housekeeping cleans the microwave (yuck), the grease on the wall/stove hood, and it desperately needs new bed pillows, or at least wash them. I also don't agree that the guests should wash the towels before they leave. 1) That should be what is included in the cleaning charge, 2) coming in after another guest, I don't trust that they washed the towels properly. We left the house clean and tidy, minus taking out the kitchen garbage because the dumpster was so full it wouldn't close. We appreciated the lovely yard and the view. I would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Charming Cabin, beautiful view, excellent beach. No road noise.

We love our stays at Beachfront Charmer. It is a sweet, cozy cabin with the original cabin from mid century and back cabin added on with nice features. They blend together well. It's just a few steps down to the beach, but the last few steps are on big boulders which might be difficult for people with balance issues. The house was very clean, but could use paint touch up and window cleaning and tract cleaning. The beds were comfortable. The Ocean Odyssey staff were very helpful and are even improving their services.

Oregon Coast Get Away
We had a great week in April at the Beachfront Charmer. It was mostly cold, windy and rainy but we found time to do some hiking, visit light houses, explore the coast and have plenty of chowder! Beachfront Charmer didn't disappoint! Great place, perfect location! The cottage was in great shape and a fun place to stay. We'd go back for sure. Access to the beach is a little difficult but there are plenty of beaches to walk. Thanks for sharing your home!

Our overall stay was good. Great location and beach access. Beach view was stunning. However, we had to do a good cleaning before we felt comfortable or felt we could walk around in our socks. Cobwebs, old wine corks, even top of Christmas tree was cleaned up. The oven drawer had grease grime. In one vacuuming, it filled the canister halfway. And the cleaning crew literally just finished. Hmmm. We definitely left it 1000% better than we found it. I emailed ocean odyssey but have had no response. I would recommend a stay if the cleaning process improves. We have not had this issue with any of our other stays.

our family has been using Ocean Odyssey for decades. They do EVERYTHING within their power to make your stay at any of the rentals top notch. We would not use any other company. As for this rental its one of our favs due to location, beach access and its fenced for our dogs. Three baths and 3 bedrooms makes it perfect for large group.

From watching whales in the offshore waves to playing with our granddaughter in the surf and walking for miles on the sandy beach, our vacation at Beachfront Charmer was a resounding success. The cottage was clean and very well equipped. The beds were comfortable and reading by the fireplace or watching the sunsets was truly relaxing.

We had a good day at the Beach Front Charmer, the house was clean and ocean view was great. The only negative things I have to say is that the dissent to the beach was too steep for my parents to climb, and the oven in the stove did not work with management hard to contact.

Great getaway!
We had a lovely stay! It was not easy getting in touch with staff during reservation process or afterwards, but for the most part, we had everything we needed while we were there. Beds are very comfortable and the house and property are quite private with ocean/beach view and access. Access at end of stairs required a climb over boulders that were slippery, so not best for nighttime or those without athletic agility.

This is a cozy, comfortable cabin overlooking the ocean. It has been added onto so it seems that there would be plenty of room for 8 people with a modern family room on the non ocean side. Kitchen is well stocked. The cabin was very clean. Direct access to beach with a path to the side of the house that other parties can use. Large boulders might make it difficult for stiff older people with poor balance to traverse.

This is my family’s favorite rental. We come to this home as often as we can. The home is clean, has a well stocked kitchen with dishes and pot/pans and the view is spectacular. A little bit of heaven. The beach access is right beside this property. Access to the beach consists of steep stairs and rocks to climb over. People with mobility issues can sit on the lovely deck overlooking the beach.

Three emails and two voicemails went unanswered. Finally, the day before rental vrbo rep was able to get someone from Ocean Odyssey on the phone. Although he sought to downplay responsiblilty for delays, he did send check in and driving information.
Arrival was smooth, but even though it had been advertised as cleaned to Covid standards, we found:
dirty oven
stove pans full of burnt food
microwave literally covered in splatters and grease
garbage can dirty on top
And when w went to wipe counters, grains of rice
were scattered around.
I want to stress that the property was simple, well-loved and beautifully located. The only problems were with the management company!

Magic on the Beach!

You can't get more beachfront than the Beachfront Charmer! The deck over the beach is flatout AMAZING! Sitting on the deck with a glass of wine watching the sunset was simply magical. The property layout is genius with the separate media room. One of the master bedrooms (there are 2) has a gorgeous ocean view. The yard is perfect for kids and pets. The only downside of our week was the gas fireplace wasn't working, but this was way overshadowed by all the plus factors! Thank you for a fabulous place to celebrate my daughter and son-in-law's 40th birthdays! My grandkids had the time of their lives!!

Best Vacation Spot!
I loved everything about this home. It was cozy and the views were breathtaking. My kids played on the beach everyday. The access to the beach was so close to the house. I also loved how there were three full bathrooms, each kid had their own bathroom and I didn't have to share mine. Winning!! It was so peaceful all around the house at night we would stare up at the stars. I have traveled to many places but have never seen so many stars in all my life! It was mesmerizing. We will definitely be back everyone had a great time.

Perfect location!!

We have used this rental over and over . It is perfect location, right on the beach. Our dogs love it too. Big enough for a family with the 3 bedrooms with 3 baths. The house is far enough off hwy 101 that you don’t hear the traffic and aren’t afraid if your toddler or dog gets loose for 1 second that it will be on the hwy. Best of all ocean odyssey treats us like family.

The house is in a great location but access to the beach was a little tricky for anyone without good agility and balance. The stairs from the house are very convenient and go most of the way down to the beach but the last several feet require chambering over uneven rocks partly covered with sand and no handholds. The house is well laid out, with comfortable furniture but, while neat, it needed a good deep cleaning and smelled strongly of dog when we arrived. The deck overlooking the beach is a great place to sit but the railing is very open and could be dangerous for small children or adventurous pets. If it gets a good cleaning, the railing is made more secure and some work is done on the beach access, I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Great views of the ocean
House was nice and big. Great views, very nice neighbor, with dogs. Only downside I think would be the backyard is yes fenced but not fully enclosed,so if you have dogs you'll have to watch them and then you share a walkway down to the beach with all the neighbors and there are huge boulders at the bottom of the steps, so watch your step because you can slip if they are covered in sand.

This is my favorite vacation rental. The three bedroom, three bathroom home is perfect for large groups. We have stayed many times with friends and family. The house is clean and well maintained. The best part of this property is access to the beach and the wonderful deck that sits above the edge of the beach. I have sat for hours with my coffee watching the waves, beach goers and the wildlife. A special place.

Perfect place to unwind but beach access difficult.
This casual, unpretentious, truly oceanside beach rental was ideal for us. We would definitely return. The only drawback is the path to the beach ( this 4 stars for “location”). The stairs are steep, uneven and old and when you get to the end you encounter very large boulders that must be climbed over. Someone even put a rope at the end to assist folks when they try to climb back up over those rocks to the path/stairs. We had to drive a bit north to find beach paths that weren’t so treacherous and ended up paying day use fees.. So for us, beach access from the house itself was impossible. This path is used by the entire neighborhood and people younger and more fit than us used it. But we couldn’t. It would be wonderful to have a collaborative neighborhood effort to rebuild those stairs and place a ramp over those rocks!

The home was lovely, we have been renting this property for about 30 yrs. Love the privacy and location cant be beat! I did feel that you were asking for a lot of clean up for a cleaning fee of 70.oo I felt that at that price the clean up should be on you. the place could use a deep cleaning, floors, windows, around toilets etc. Otherwise, wonderful stay

Fantastic Spot Anytime of Year

The experience was wonderful, as it always is. This is an amazing and very special place and we are so happy to be able to return about every six months for rest and recreation. I would recommend a reminder to your housecleaners to vacuum behind the beds when they clean. Everything else was wonderful.

The location couldn't have been better - easy access to the beach, and lovely view of the surf from several windows. Good kitchen supplies and ample room for all.

Great beachfront get away

/exceot for an alarm going off in the middle of the night and we didn't know what it was for. After going outside and finding a box along side of the house for a septic tank alarm/sand trap alarm, we reset the alarm button. The house is very charming and a perfect place for a trip to the beach. My son and his twin girls had one end of the house and my mother in law the middle and us our own space. The 3 bathrooms was a very very nice thing to have also.

We completely enjoyed our stay at this home. The location was great and the viewing deck was an added plus!! Easy beach access, however the rocks below were slippery because of the sand on them....could not be avoided, just needed to watch your step. The bbq is in BAD shape, we took our own. I would stay here again and would recommend it.

FAMILY REUNION

Several families gathered together to visit and enjoy the beach. We walked, we talked, we cooked and had a delightful time. We rented two houses very near each other which worked beautifully.

Comfortable Hideaway

The layout of the home worked very nice for our group of 4 adults. The home is spacious and the ocean view from the picture windows is spectacular. Beach access could be improved with a hedge trimmer and the turn of a particular stone. The carpet and upholstry could use some cleaning but overall we enjoyed our stay at the Beach Front Charmer.

Thank you for confirming our selection. It was perfect in all ways. The house is spacious and yet compact. Bed comfortable. TV was ok but view beat it!
