Another Great Stay

Cozy, quiet cottage with lovely ocean views.

This cottage was a great size for 2 adults and our dog. It is about half way between Waldport and Yachats with a few other homes close by. It is away from the highway so very quiet. The home has all solid surface floors so much easier to keep clean. Bedrooms are small but comfortable. The kitchen is modern and has everything (except didn’t find a tea kettle). There are great views out large windows to the ocean. The yard is only fenced on 3 sides. The weather was too chilly to sit out but there is a great patio and bench. Access to the beach is close by but would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues.

Loved it!

We have rented lots of coastal homes over the years and this home is near the top of the list. The views from the kitchen, living room and dining room are stunning. The beach access is just two houses down at the end of the court and is shared by the few homes there but you need to be sure footed to traverse the rocks at the bottom. We are middle aged and managed just fine so do t let that stop you from enjoying this fine home. Beautiful flooring throughout has resolved the carpet issue. The yard was not quite fully fenced at the time of our stay so our dog soon learned the way to the beach (with or without us). But a very enjoyable stay.

Beach front in Yachats!

You shouldn’t be allowed to complain when you stay beach front in Yachats, but I’ll do my best. I have been renting beach homes in Yachats for the last 8 years. And multiple times a year. So I have some reference. My past rental “Conrad” was awesome as far as location. And great because it has a backyard for dogs. We arrived to find the heat cranked up really high and the humidifier running. Seemed like a maintenance event had occurred. The carpet was stained like crazy. But nothing smelled. The home looked as if it needed some maintenance. The fence was not completed either. The TV /cable remote was a frustrating cluster to operate. Took us 10 mins to get it going. So done complaining. Compared to all the past Yachats rentals I give the Conrad a (6). But when the hot tube gets fixed and the fence is done. This place is a strong (8.5). Between being a beach front home and allowing dogs ( and humans) a place like this takes abuse! So still an awesome stay!

Conrad Cottage

The location of the property was excellent, right on the ocean and beach is beautiful. The house itself was alright. Kitchen and dining area had been remodeled. We encountered a few problems. The dish washer did not do a very good job of cleaning dishes. TV's in the bedrooms were not connected to streaming or cable. The back sliding door was very hard to open and was eventually fixed by a maintenance person. Also, there was a hole in the ceiling in the laundry room where there apparently was a roof leak. Other than that our stay was very nice.

Great ocean view

The best thing about this house is the view! You can see the ocean from the living room and dining room, or go out to the backyard for an even better view. We spent quite a bit of time at the bench just watching the waves from the backyard. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. The street the house is on is quiet and we didn't see/hear any neighbors. The house is located along the nice stretch of sandy beach between Yachats and Waldport, but the beach access from the house is difficult for older folks like us. So we drove down to Governor Patterson state park just a few minutes away with easy beach access. The cottage itself could use some TLC. The carpets are badly stained and the living room smelled like wet dog our entire stay. (we don't have a dog) There were ants in the kitchen as soon as we arrived, and maintenance brought an ant bait the next day but we still had to deal with ants. The king bed was very firm and not comfortable and the TV remote wasn't working. We were happy to see decent weather in early October, plenty of sun. On the day we checked out, it was 80 degrees by 11am (crazy) so we hung out at the state park and enjoyed the beach. We drove to Florence to eat at Mo's one day, and enjoyed fish and chips from Luna Sea Fish House in Yachats another day. C&K Market in Yachats has everything you need including a large variety of fresh produce. We also took a drive to find the Yachats covered bridge.

Comfortable Cottage

Great cottage with everything you need to enjoy your time at the beach. Very comfortable with a great view and semi-easy access down to the beach. The only thing that was disappointing was that the king size bed was made but obviously the bedding had not been cleaned. The sheets were littered with sand and food crumbs, and the awful smell of patchouli was overwhelming. The dishes appeared to have just been put away by the cleaning crew as many of the dishes and pans were wet, and the silverware had crusted food on them. I know that the turn around time is tight between guests, but better care in cleaning should be given when the owner and the guests are paying for this service. I would still rent this cottage again as it was perfect otherwise. Hopefully someone can speak to the cleaning staff about this.

Conrad Cottage Take Two

Our family had an excellent stay at the Conrad Cottage for the second year in a row. The view of the ocean cannot be beat, and the fenced back yard is great for the kids. While the property is not spotless and not without a few warts, you'll be hard-pressed to find an oceanfront property that is perfect--especially one that accepts pets. This one checks A LOT of boxes and we will not hesitate to stay again. As others note, beach access is a bit tricky having to navigate rocks/boulders at the bottom of the stairs, probably a hazard for the elderly. But, the cottage itself is accessible with no noted safety hazards from our last visit (though the stove top is not fully functional--right side burners do not operate if memory serves . . . no matter, we used the gas grill almost exclusively anyway).

Small house but unbelievable view. Short walk to the beach but a bit tough walking over boulders on the last but of the trail to the beach. I wouldn't advise if you have any physical limitations.

Family time.

Conrad cottage was a good option for our beach vacation. The two bedrooms were good for 2 couples. The one bathroom was at times tricky. We were all quite disappointed that there was no access from the house or neighborhood, that we could find, down to the beach. The house was well stocked although we all thought it is in need of a deep cleaning and it could be ready soon for a remodel. A investment that would pay off! In its current condition we thought it was overpriced. But the queen bed was sooo comfortable! I slept like a baby!

Great Location, Perfect Size

It is nice to find a small cottage at the beach just for my husband and me and our 2 dogs at a great price. The house seems to be a work in progress and is a little funky, but that is what we like. Updated kitchen was very nice. The beach access is just 3 houses down. For us it was an easy access but for some, climbing over the large boulders at the bottom might not be. Wonderful sunset views and lot's of outdoor furniture to relax on. Dogs enjoyed the partially fenced in yard. The description says that the property does not provide coffee filters, but there are probably 500 of them that others have left! For the life of me I couldn't figure out the remote for the TV very well. Maybe some better instructions? Garbage trucks on Monday morning were a bit loud as they backed up and stopped to empty cans right outside the bedroom wall. We would love to rent this home again.

Great view

Our family had an excellent stay at the Conrad Cottage. Though a bit small for a family of 5, the location is outstanding (minimal highway noise and vast ocean views) and the kids like the opportunity to use their sleeping bags anyway. The cottage was clean enough—could use some new carpet, but the coastal whether and rotating guests are understandably hard on things. We look forward to staying again in the future.

Fantastic little seashore home.

We had a great weekend stay at is quaint Beach front home.
Had everything we needed. Read a few reviews about how outdated trim and dirty baseboards. Well I think it's a bit of an exaderation.
The place was just fine for us. It's a older coastal property. What do you expect?
The hot tub was a fantastic plus. I do think some kind of lighting besides a lamp or candles is in order though.

cons- the carpet is very soiled and dirty there was also no handle on the sliding glass door and only way to lock it was to put the wooden dowel behind the door. But like I said the view and hot tub were very nice.

Amazing Backyard View!

It was a wonderful 5 night stay to say the least! The hot tub was awesome! The backyard view was to die for! The home itself was fully functional!
The "other" parts... the pans could have been a little better. I ended up buying an egg pan so my eggs wouldn't stick. The carpets are covered in pet stains and you can smell pet urine throughout the house. The LED steering hung in the hot tub room didn't work. And half the jets in the hot tub weren't coming on (that may have just been us not being able to figure it out though). There were 2 lamps in the hot tub room but neither one worked. There's a bat living above the siding glass door.
None of these things were a big deal st all for us, we had a great time and loved the adorable walk (path] out to the beach We are so grateful for this little slice of HEAVEN that we got to call home for 5 nights!!! Kerri (Mama), Damon (Daddy), EJ (12), & Jaxson (3)

Location is the best, maintenance not 5star.

Location of cottage is perfect with awesome views, close access to the beach and within easy driving distance to Florence, Cape Perpetua, Newport and Depoe Bay. Furnishings are nice...comfortable beds, nice sleeper sofa, very nice newer kitchen cabinets and appliances. Maintenance is somewhat lacking. Part of cabinet missing below kitchen sink, slider handle broken, bathroom door very difficult to open and close and backyard fence is not been complete. The carpets are very badly stained. They are probably clean but do not look appealing. Ocean Odyssey does respond promptly to requests or concerns.
My two friends and I had a wonderful five days at the cottage. Saw lots of whales at Depoe Bay and on Otter Crest Loop, had delicious dining in Yachats and Newport, took 2 hour boat tour from Newport, went to Oregon Coast Aquarium, explored Cape Perpetua, fun shopping and gallery hopping and lots of long walks on the beach and time spent just enjoying the view. Great relaxing place to stay.

Wonderful time

Loved it. However, house is showing signs of much needed repairs. Someone left a broken wine bottle opener, so we got a new one to leave. Lights in hot tub gazebo not working. BBQ NEEDS REPLACED! Couldn't get it to work, and at some point a small spot under the Q was burned. Inner door handle on slider, is no longer. There is a portion of cabinetry in front of the sink that is gone. And a pair of bats were actually kind of entertaining to watch, come sunset, but made it sketchy going from house to hot tub. I travel with some travel fences for my dog. Thank goodness, because there still has not been a fence replacement on the driveway side of the house. However, the view still cannot be beat. House just needs some attention.

Love this place

This was perfect for the 3 of us. Great view of the Ocean. Short distance to beach entrance which was two houses down. Loved the separate hot tub bldg, you can watch the sunset. Very nice yard to sit and watch the waves. Clean and beds were comfortable. Great for a small family. Says maximum 6 people but there was only one bed in each bedroom (2 people in each room). There is one couch that has an extended footstool on one end so maybe two children could sleep on it, but not long enough for two adults. We had 3 people so it was great for us. Loved the kitchen, nice cabinets and countertops. Equipped with games, books and puzzles. Only had a couple of kids videos, so bring your own videos, but they do have cable to watch TV. We don't have a dog, but the yard was not all the way fenced yet at entrance. They do have fence posts installed like a fence is going to be put in. The only possible con is the beach entrance for the elderly. There are wooden steps down to about 10 large rocks that you need to manuever to get to the sand. There is a rope if needed, but this might be difficult for anyone who has balance issues. I'm 60 and was able to walk across the boulders, however. Very happy with this place and will return.

Spring break

A Few Things to Fix

We loved the location of the Conrad Cottage on the outskirts of Yachats. Found a new favorite coffee spot just down the road-Beachside Buzz! The cottage was stocked well and had everything we needed for a fun stay. It was a nice place to relax and listen to the ocean with an occasional dip in the hot tub. We did have a few issues with the house: no beach access, no working lights in hot tub area, shower was spraying on ceiling, blood spot on a pillow, back sliding door didn’t lock. These things didn’t ruin our stay, but they should be fixed. Also, please update the house notebook. It is missing most of the house information that we usually see in others. We did spot whales from the house and loved watching the fishing boats. It is a nice, quiet little place that we would try again!

Storms and Sunsets

We enjoyed our stay at the Conrad Cottage. The Conrad Cottage needs some TLC, some maintenance work that may or not be reported by the cleaning staff, maybe not even noticed by anyone who doesn't spend a few days occupying the home. We are both short in stature and approaching 75 years of age. Access into and out of the hot tub was difficult and fearing a potential fall we only used it one time. If we were the owners, we would look at adding a stairway and small deck at the entrance area of the hot tub with a handrail for support of users, especially senior citizens.
The same can be said for the access to the beach. Climbing over the rocks is a huge challenge for anyone with hip or knee or balance problems. This might be good info for the ad for this unit, even if it would discourage some rentals. We are just thinking of the potential for injuries.
It is well stocked with games and things for families with children and the layout is nice. We probably have higher expectations for what we want in a rental home, and that is based on the way we maintained our rental home, and experiences we have had with other rental properties. We offer these comments in a constructive tone and hope with some maintenance and TLC, the owners and you might see an increase in rentals and repeat customers.

Another great stay at Conrad cottage in the books. Only suggestion would be laminate floors with cheap area rugs, as pets are allowed. And I thank you very much for that����. Also, thankfully I travel with portable dog fences, as the wood fence on driveway side of house was gone.

A gorgeous Oasis just north of Yachats

We had a lovely relaxing time at Conrad Cottage. The house is homey and comfortable and the hot tub is glorious! Views can't be beat and the beach is a very quick walk away. Highly recommended, wish we'd stayed longer! There were plenty of coffee filters already in the house FYI.

Beach getaway

A fantastic family getaway for wave watching, beach walks, and sunsets.
The kitchen is up to date and well-equipped. Bedrooms are tight but the gathering areas are roomy and have the views. Nice washer and dryer. Hot tub was a fun bonus!
Dishwasher had a note that it was broken which just meant a lot of hand washing. Carpet had numerous previous pet stains.
An accessible outdoor foot rinse/hose or shower would have been helpful to prevent tracking sand.

Overall a fantastic location and view.

Awesome, Relaxing, Cozy & Affordable Getaway

We Love the Conrad Cottage! A year and a half ago I shared a three day weekend there with my women’s group and we thoroughly enjoyed it! We sat and watched overlooking the ocean with a coffee or hot chocolate, enjoyed the jacuzzi tub as it was nice and hot with jets and plenty of room both in the morning and again after we returned from our beach walking and outings. I brought my family last weekend and we had such an enjoyable time we all decided to come back again in three weeks! You will truly enjoy this cottage! But Shhhh don’t tell everyone where it’s at okay! Lol

Lovely cottage at the Coast.

This was a lovely little cottage at the Coast. Great view, great hot tub in the gazebo. Beautiful backyard. Kitchen was modem and easy to use. We did have ants, and there was a large stain on the living room carpet. It could use new paint, and the bedrooms are very small. But the place was clean and will stocked. We had an incredible time relaxing and watching the waves from the house or the hot tub. Would definitely recommend.

Cozy cottage

We had a great time for my husband's 31st birthday! Being right on the beach with a hot tub was so relaxing and exactly what we needed.
There were a few maintenance issues, the handle to the sliding glass door was missing which was a little bit of a hassle to open and close. The fences were not finished, which was a little inconvenient with our dog, also there were 2 screens missing in the windows facing the ocean so we had to keep those halfway closed so our dog didnt jump out.
Other than a few stains on the carpet which is no big deal, we will definitely be coming back!

The views from the cottage was awesome the only complaint is the back yard was not mowed and the grass was taller than our little dog , luckily there was a patch of green in front we took potty on. Ocean views and location are close to perfect!

Conrad Cottage has completely unobstructed ocean views and is in a great location...just outside Yachats on a very quiet street. There is easy access to 7-8 miles of sandy beach just 3 houses away. The cottage is very bright, cheerful and clean. Wonderful kitchen that appears to be recently redone...newer cabinets, countertops and beautiful appliances. Kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed. Bedrooms are small but have great beds and both have a nice TV. Living room had a wonderful new queen-size sofa, large TV and fabulous views. The new hot tub is beautiful...we took full advantage of it. Entire outside area is great...newly sodded lawn, new deck, patio and walkway and plenty of outdoor furniture. The lawn was not quite completely fenced but new posts are in place at both sides so am certain fence will be completed soon. My two friends and I and my two retrievers had a wonderful stay and I would certainly try to rent this home again. Also, I’ve been renting through Ocean Odyssey on most of my Oregon coast trips for almost 20 years and have always had a positive experience. As I was traveling with friends this year, I wanted a place that would be comfortable and safe for three women and my two dogs. I called the office, told them what I was looking for and they were very helpful in suggesting properties that suited my needs. They appear to be very knowledgeable about all their properties. They have also been
very quick to respond to any issues that have arisen and have resolved them satisfactorily. Great people to do business with!

We really enjoyed our two weeks at Conrad Cottage. The marvelous view of the Pacific, the hot tub, and the comfortable bed all contributed to our stay. The kitchen was well equipped, and we cooked most meals there. The only complaint we had was that the weak water pressure made showering difficult.

Phenomenal oceanfront setting, relaxing and cozy

The oceanfront locale can't be beat--you can hear the ocean roaring from the front yard! Lots of outdoor furnishings and benches from which to enjoy the view. The hot tub gazebo is the creme de la creme! The cabin is small (one bathroom with shower only, two bedrooms, sleeper couch in living room), but it has a beautifully updated gourmet kitchen, well equipped. It was more than enough for our family of four and the setting was perfect. Beach access is a few feet away and down some fairly rickety steps; the wide, pristine beach extends about eight miles and you can walk all the way to Waldport or Yachats. If you need more accessible access, the Tillicum state park is a two-minute drive north. Well located between Waldport and Yachats for restaurants, groceries, shops, etc. Bedrooms are a little tight--not much room beyond the beds themselves--but that isn't where you'll want to hang out anyway. Our only issue was that a few partially dirty dishes were put back into the cupboards. Not a big deal--we just washed everything before we used it--but the property managers may want to keep a closer eye on that in the future. Everything else was clean. Despite that minor issue, Ocean Odyssey is one of the best rental companies out there--very professional and eager to provide top-notch customer service. We would love to stay here again. It's very relaxing and restorative just to spend time in such an amazingly beautiful setting.

Awesome Cottage

Myself and 5 of my girlfriends stayed at the Conrad Cottage for a nice three day weekend. We loved the view and being so close to hear the sounds of the ocean all throughout the weekend. The place was cozy, well equipped kitchen and the nicest part was having a the hot tub at the best temperature settings. I always take care of the rentals for our group and this is the best vacation home we have visited with a hot tub. It held steady at 104 degrees which is just what makes the weekend a relaxing getaway from work and the city stress. You'll Love It Too! And Best of All...I won't rent from anyone else but Ocean Odyssey as they are the Greatest folks to work with.

Oregon Shores

We like Oregon coast that is quieter than the beaches further north. We stayed in the middle of the week, almost no one on the beach in front of
the house. Located on a quiet street and a perfect view of the beach. We sat on a bench and watched the sunset. We bought groceries at Newport which is smart. Yachats has one small grocer. The
King bed mattress was great. The hot tub cabana was great. Lightning was not working but the tub was perfect. The kitchen has everything you need. There must be a one year supply of coffee filters. We will come again.

Great Ocean View Away from Traffic Noise

We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to return to this house.
We did have 3 issues.
We could get ice from the door of the refrigerator for about 3 hours and then it stopped working. A filter needed to be replaced, according to the control panel. We called the Ocean Odyssey office. No one came to fix it. We had been told someone would.
We expected at least 6 chairs at the dining room table as shown in the photos. There were only 4. We were 5 staying at the house and 2 friends came to dinner one night. It was way too windy to eat outside.
The bathroom has a large pocket door. It was difficult to open and close and it did not close all the way. It is particularly not good since it was the only bathroom and it is adjacent to the kitchen and dining room.
A few dishes and pots and pans in the cupboards were dirty. It seems dishes are unloaded from the dishwasher and not inspected for cleanliness.

Conrad House Stay

We had a good time on the coast. The house was very comfortable and we enjoyed it and it's location. We also had problems as others had with the refrigerator leaking and living room TV. I had to clean out the ice maker shoot of frozen water to use it. The TV would flip on and off until it warmed up. I found turning it off and back on helped. We found the hot tub wonderful as we have one at home. However the lid was so saturated with water and heavy that it was very difficult putting back on after a half hour soak. So we only used it once as it wasn't worth the efforts. Other than that we were very satisfied and would come bake again.
We appreciate the notes and will look get all of the above taken care of. Thank you.

Great time - even with cruddy weather!

we had a great little family get away - the cottage was 100% as advertised and we really enjoyed our stay... the beach location/access was great! Only thing I would recommend are directions regarding the hot tub - with the enclosure that surrounds it it's very difficult to easily get the hot tub lid on and off - still not sure we were doing it right but we got it off.

Sweet Little Cottage

Fantastic getaway

This cottage is right on the beach as advertised. There are big windows in the living room so you can open the curtains and watch the ocean. The beach is better than expected because there were so few other people. Overall it was a great weekend getaway. The only thing that I wish was that there were towel racks in the bathroom and a light by the hot tub stairs to manage the cover better. We will definitely be going back.

Excellent location

All in all the home was well stocked and the location was beautiful. There were a few items that need to be looked at by staff however. One of the kitchen cabinet hinges was broken and the door was about to fall off. The GFCI outlet over the kitchen sink is faulty. The lamp near the TV has a short in the socket. The house just needs a little love. The furniture is showing signs of wear and some pieces need to be replaced. Bottom line is, aside from minor issues we had a wonderful time and did not want to leave.

Aged cottage, in a romantic location.

We are hikers and enjoyed the large expanse of beach to walk. We walked the beach into town, for lunch. The seclusion of this house supports the ability to hear and smell the ocean, in our case enjoying it all night with the windows open.

Ocean Views at the Conrad House

If you are looking for simple living,fantastic views with easy beach access this little house is for you! The kitchen is one of the best stocked I have experienced at a rental..and I've been to many. The hot tub is perfectly located enjoying the full moon and ocean views. Everything was clean and very neat. It smelled a bit like dogs when we arrived but a good airing out fixed that. The Conrad House is comfortable with no frills, good internet, and plenty of fluffy towels. The outside eating and lounge area is terrific. At 6:30 in the morning we were lucky enough to see the full moon setting over the Pacific ocean!
The home is scheduled for a good carpet cleaning, that should take care of it.

Excellent honeymoon!

My fiancé and I had hoped to find a relaxed place on the coast where we could bring our dogs and enjoy our honeymoon. Conrad Cottage sure fit the bill for us as husband and wife! This cute little house was perfect; it was cozy and comfortable, perfectly located to be near the beach but feel quiet and remote, well equipped for our needs, and the most wonderful stay I've ever had at the beach. We watched the waves from the yard while soaking in the sun, enjoyed the hot tub at night, and drove the short distance to Yachats for some delicious breakfasts while making our own dinners at the house. Our dogs loved the convenient beach access and we loved the great area to go on long walks and not run into crowds of people. My only wish is that we could have stayed much, much longer! We will definitely return...

We were very satisfied with our stay at Conrad Cottage. The broken futon was the only problem and that was addressed quickly and professionally. The house was clean but could use some back up supplies like light bulbs and dishwasher soap. We had a wonderful time and especially enjoyed soaking in the hot tub while enjoying the view.

AMAZING VACATION

When we arrived everything was as it said it would be. The property was clean, and beautiful! could not have asked for a better view and beach! we had whales out front for 3 days straight! The house has MORE then we expected, loads of dishes and cooking ware, towels, blankets, pillows, games and books!
it was a short drive from Newport and Yachats. Couldn't have asked for a better place!!!! we WILL be back!!! ...our dog loved the fenced yard and space!!!

A fabulous family reunion.

We gathered together from several different places to talk, eat and enjoy the beach. The weather was glorious and our accommodations were perfect. We liked the nice kitchens, the comfortable beds and great views.

Cnrad Cottage is a very comfortable and warm home. The location is great and the view incredible. I would definitely stay here again.
