Ocean View Getaway

Beautiful View from almost all the windows. Wonderful Master bathroom. Kitchen cabinets and counters are well worn. Living-room furniture was very comfortable as well as the bedroom mattress. The housekeepers could be a bit more detailed in their cleaning in the kitchen area. Overall, loved the place.

Great location

Agate Point is in a great location. The views from every window in the home are stunning. The home is comfortable and pet friendly. Cleanliness was lacking. I was overwhelmed with location and views. I was underwhelmed with the cleanliness. I would recommend this property with the caveat of correct expectations.

overall house was great; a few issues: grease trap in cooktop is completely full; unable to use other features, sliding patio doors are very difficult to open and close, and the fireplace in the bedroom isn't working, but they knew that. all in all it was a good weekend?

We love the ocean view from the house. We love working with Odyssey Vacation Rentals. The house is fairly well equipped. We vacation here twice a year, May and October. Great restaurants. The house was not as clean as we would have liked this time. Dusty furniture, washing machine leaks, microwave & toaster oven not clean.

The house was so lovely and comfortable. The views were perfect! We lost power, the whole coastline did. But the house was set up for losing power. Flashlights, candles, lanterns and gas heat. So we stayed comfortable the whole time.

Ocean and King Tides Winter Retreat

The location of the house literally a few yards from the ocean waves, seals and gulls is just amazing.
A few things do need to be improved though: the front entrance space has broken tiles and is slippery, the dozens of remotes lying around without instructions was not helpful; the bedroom heater needs to be fixed! I suggest enclosing the upstairs hot tub for privacy otherwise the fee is not warranted. kitchen was great and well stocked. Company staff were responsive when we called with questions. Thanks!!! Fabulous walks in all directions too, our dogs loved it too.

Beautiful view

We spent a lovely week at this rental and the house was very comfortable. Good beds, heated floor in the master bathroom, well-stocked kitchen. And the view is extraordinary! Hopefully they got the fireplaces working - would have been great to enjoy them during our stay.

Yachats beach front house

This is the second time I've arrived at an Ocean Odyssey rental and the cleaning crew was unaware that the home was rented. Also, the home I rented said it had a fireplace, but it had been changed to a gas stove with no directions on how to use it and we could not figure it out, plus I brought wood that went unused. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay very much.

Twice yearly beach stay

We had a great time. The house was in a great location. The stoves did not work again though. Second time that's happened. Not very good instructions for starting the washing machine, so had to ask for help. Lots of remote controls, but have no idea what they were for, so didn't use any except for the split unit, which is great. Beds could use some mattress pads, that could be washed also. Pillows could use a zippered cover that could also be washed. Overall we were pretty satisfied. The help we received was great!Could use a more comfortable dining room set!

Magnificent

We enjoyed a 3 night stay at this beautiful home within steps of the Pacific shore and a 15 minute walk from downtown Yachats. By coincidence there was a magical Celtic music festival that added to our great stay.

Tranquillity by the sea

the pics of the house do not do it justice. the housekeeping was surperb. and the kitchen made us feel at home with plenty of cooking utensils and an abundance of staple spices, etc. ocean odyssey is very much on top of customer p.r. the location made visiting florence, the cape area, and newport easy excursions.

Yachats Beauty

We had a fantastic stay at the Agate Point rental, the views were to die for, the town was awesome and the drives up and down the coast were wonderful. We had snow (!!!), total sunshine and just a little bit of rain, perfect. The rental property was great, such fun architecture, very quaint yet classy and the perfect size for the two of us and our dog 🙂 The hot tub was awesome!! So hot! The view from up hot tub was pretty great too. Overall would love to come back and visit the place in the summer.

Dreamy Spot--whatever the weather may bring!

We really enjoyed our stay at Agate Point. The view was breathtaking at every moment and we were able to walk to town for delicious food. We hiked at Cape Perpetua and enjoyed walking the beach. We were disappointed that the hot tub didn't get hot enough to enjoy and the fireplace wasn't functional. Other than that--PERFECT!

Wonderful house

This was a wonderful house and had so many nice features inside and outside. The kitchen was neat, master bedroom was comfortable and the master bathroom was to die for. Loved the shower and the heated floor. The property was beautifully landscaped. Loved the chairs on the deck. We ate several times on the front deck. The views from inside were just as good as outside. We would love to stay there again.

Stunning views!

Despite being on a popular view spot with a steady flow of walkers and cars, this is one of the premium views in Yachats. The hot tub was well maintained w/ power jets. Anything metal including deck chairs & BBQ are not to be trusted. The spouting hole across the street creates a steady sea mist at high tide that coats everything including your car. I would be sure to bring some windex and plan on cleaning the kitchen/living room windows off after each high tide. It's totally worth it. A minor annoyance was the arrival of the lawn guys on Monday morning. Not so much that they came and did their job, but more that we had no idea they were coming and it could have been awkward (fortunately it wasn't). Not sure if they come the same day/time every week, but they came Monday about midday. Overall this was a fairly well maintained rental, though some attention to beneath the furniture might be in order (I noticed items left under one of the beds and there was a collection of dust bunnies under the recliner. Someone mentioned water pressure issues in the shower, but we did not experience that. A little better documentation about the house amenities in the welcome book would be useful. We didn't even realize that there was a built in stove top griddle hiding there until our second day. Also, there are no cast iron or steel pans in the house, so bring one if you are into cooking. I’d bring a nice metal spatula too, but that’s how I roll. The knives were nice and sharp when we stayed, which I totally appreciate. The lovely orange espresso machine seen in the pictures is for decoration only. There is a Mr. Coffee and I think a pour over set up in the house, but we ended up picking up a lovely stainless steel stovetop espresso maker at the local kitchen gadget store (so bring your own if that's what you prefer and have one already). Documentation about operation of the entertainment systems and house fans, etc would be nice. Garbage collection day is Monday. Reco

A lovely house

Agate Point is a sweet house in a spectacular location. We enjoyed the South deck, protected from the wind. With a few modifications, the house would be perfect. Valves in both showers need attention. They drip. The water pressure in the second bathroom is very low. This makes the shower nearly unusable.

It would be handy to have a couple of hooks near the front door for coats.

The glass table is very noisy. A couple of place mats would be great.
A working bbq would be great. The one that shows in the picture looks like it has not worked in decades.

Cupboard space was sparse because they are full of the owner's food.

The changes we mention are fairly small but they could make a wonderful house even better.

Happy Travels

We had a wonderful time in the house with it being so close to the beach and tide pools. Great sunsets!
Home was nicely furnished, clean and had everything we needed. We appreciated that we were able to have our dogs with us.
Only thing we noticed were a few lights had burned out bulbs. By no means a complaint just a suggestion for fixing before next renter.
Have been using Ocean Odyssey Vacation Rentals for several years and are always very very pleased with the homes they take care of.

A Cozy Cottage by the Sea

Our family of three had a great summer week enjoying the sunsets, foggy mornings, ocean spray, and beautiful seascape from this house. The front of the house offers a 180-degree view of the coast. The kitchen is relatively large, making it easy to cook while you're there. The living room has a cozy atmosphere. Overall we had a very good experience with the house and management.

Peaceful Yachats

This small home is in the ideal location for oceanfront views from almost every room, even the master bath! This kitchen sink view even makes doing the dishes enjoyable! Situated on a small road closest to the ocean, this house has sweeping views of the ocean, cove, beaches, and Yachats. We enjoyed walking on this road, and taking the stairs around the bend down to the cove to walk on the beach. There's a small grassy yard and a deck with a couple of chairs, and also benches right across the street.
High end finishes make this house really special.

Wow!

I would live in this Home. Perfect for a small family or two couples on retreat. The layout and design allow maximum use of available space, and Ocean views from nearly every room. We enjoyed walking along the beach with our dog, exploring the local flavor in Yachats, stargazing from the Hot tub on the roof deck, and warming up by the fireplace. We will definitely be back!

Front row tickets

We are frequent travelers to yachats and decided to splurge on this ocean front rental. It was clean and had everything we needed. The pictures are accurate...this is the beautiful view that greets you and is unforgettable! I appreciate them allowing us to bring our dog Dolly, she enjoys beachcombing as much as we do.
